  This is the Republican party. When one of their Senators says “Islam is not a religion”, nobody steps up to disavow them. Nobody steps up to disagree with his calls to deport all Muslims from the US, even the millions who were born here. These are the people driving policy at a national level right now. Senators like Tommy Tuberville. House Reps. like Randy Fine . Administration officials like Stephen Miller . All led by their Muslim-banning, immigrant-bashing President. The Republican Party has a White Nationalist problem. And the only way to deal with a White Nationalist problem is to crush their political movement with the weight of democratic mass mobilization. Because the truth is that a vast majority of Americans do not share these extremist views. In fact, they are repulsed by them.
