  “Whatever happens, I love you.” That was the text I got from my husband, Colin, on Jan. 6, 2021. When a violent mob had breached the U.S. Capitol with Colin inside, my stomach dropped. I was seven months pregnant at the time with our second son, and my mind was going a mile a minute:  Was I about to lose Colin? Was this really happening in the United States of America?
