FIRST POST-DEBATE POLL

Image
Did you see this? Undecided voters  overwhelmingly  sided with Beto after watching him hold Greg Abbott fully accountable during last week's debate.  Check it out: That's a +23 point swing in Beto's direction!  Beto won the debate, but to defeat Abbott in November, we need to keep our momentum going and make sure every Texas voter knows the truth about Abbott's eight years of failures. Beto has the momentum, but we can't let Abbott's special interest cash drown out our message at this critical moment. Please, will you chip in to reach the voters we'll need to win in November, elect Beto, and defeat Abbott? During Friday's debate, Beto held Greg Abbott fully accountable for his dangerous extremism and eight years of failing the people of Texas. The results show that if we can share Abbott's record of failure — and Beto's positive, unifying vision for Texas — with undecided voters, they  will  vote for Beto. Now comes the hard part.  With only 35...

TEXAS MIRACLE [no one saw this coming!]

Image
WE’RE CRYING TEARS OF JOY!! FIRST:  Beto O’Rourke SOARED ahead in the polls –  he’s within striking distance of Republican Greg Abbott!! Chip in right now to flip Texas blue! >> THEN:  Voters are FED UP with Abbott’s inaction on crises like gun violence –  59% of Texans think the state is moving in the wrong direction! NOW:  We have a REAL CHANCE to retire Greg Abbott and elect Beto O’Rourke – so we’re setting  our most ambitious fundraising goal YET  to boost Texas turnout! We need to raise $75,OOO to PROPEL Beto O’Rourke into the lead and turn out a RECORD number of Texas Democrats! Chip in anything you can now → REMEMBER:  The midterm election is just two months away! And Greg Abbott has spent YEARS cultivating restrictive voter suppression laws to ERASE Beto’s chances in Texas –  so we need to act right now. Will you be the first Democrat from Massachusetts to donate to our Texas Turnou...

Something big is happening in Texas

Image
I just spent 49 days on the road, holding more than 70 events across the state of Texas to meet the voters who will decide this election right where they are. I want to share an update from the road, but if you're ready to help us win on November 8th, will you make a $10 contribution right now? From Greenville in Hunt County — where we filled the school gym to its 500-person capacity only to find more than 300 additional attendees waiting outside after we finished — to Austin, Houston and Dallas where we met voters in greater numbers than in 2018 or anytime that I can remember, it’s clear that something big is happening in Texas. Fort Worth, TX Pampa, TX People want change. They’re sick and tired of a governor who attacks women, who attacks teachers, who attacks immigrants and who attacks the very right to vote. They won’t accept losing power for days in the energy capital of the world or paying higher utility bills as a result because the man in charge decided to stick ratepayer...

POLITICO NIGHTLY: Trolling toward 2024

Image
IN FLORIDA, CHARLIE CRIST IS RUNNING TO REPLACE DESANTIS.  IN TEXAS, BETO O'ROURKE IS RUNNING TO REPLACE GREG ABBOTT.  IT'S TIME FOR SENSIBLE SOLUTIONS, NOT STUNTS. View in browser   BY  MYAH WARD Presented by With help from Ben Pauker A man, who is part of a group of immigrants sent to Martha's Vineyard Wednesday by Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, flashes a thumbs up. | Ray Ewing/Vineyard Gazette via AP PERFORMATIVE POLICY  — Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis is once again making national headlines. His latest move to send two planes of migrants from Florida to the liberal enclave of Martha’s Vineyard is dominating the political discussion, placing the potential 2024 presidential contender at center stage. He’s not the only governor using these shock tactics: Today, Texas Gov. Greg Abbott dropped two busloads of undocumented immigrants outside of Vice President Kamala Harris’ Naval Observatory residence, and Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey has sent thousands of migrants o...

Nearly $9 million in ads against us

Image
Greg Abbott is now up to nearly  $9,000,000  in ad spending across Texas — with over 10 weeks left to go. Thanks to his corporate mega-donors and special interests, Abbott has a nearly unlimited budget to run ads attacking Beto. His campaign spending is out of control, and we can’t let him buy re-election. Can Beto count on you to donate $10 right now so we can fight back, get our own ads on the air, and reach the voters who will decide this election? We’re aiming to raise $1,200,000 before the end of the month, and we need a LOT more grassroots donations if we’re going to make it. Greg Abbott is too extreme for Texas.  Only 13% of Texas voters agree with Abbott’s radical new law banning abortion even in cases of rape or incest. But Abbott could drown out the truth by running enough ads between now and November. The only way to fight back is getting Beto’s message out there, too. Will you help us reach our $1,200,000 end-of-month goal so we can fight back and get o...
