  Dem senator humiliates Pentagon Pete with basic war questions Secretary of War Crimes Pete Hegseth sat before the Senate Appropriations Committee yesterday and had his sanctimonious ass handed to him by Sen. Jon Ossoff . The Georgia Democrat repeatedly used Hegseth's own words against him as he questioned why the Pentagon needed an additional $67 BILLION just to get through the end of this fiscal year on September 30. Pete came asking for a handout, but it was Ossoff who showed up with the receipts. He calmly noted that Hegseth previously declared Operation Epic Fury a "historic and overwhelming victory" and claimed that Iran and been rendered "combat-ineffective for years to come."
