When Trump signed his Big Brutal Bill into law last year, he didn’t just hand trillions of dollars in tax cuts to billionaires and corporations -- paid for through massive cuts to Medicaid, the  Affordable Care Act , SNAP nutrition benefits and more.  Buried in that bill was also a nationwide school voucher scheme that will redirect our federal tax dollars to private schools and leave public schools across the country with fewer resources and deeper budget cuts. Governors now hold the power to either opt their states in or out of this privatization pipeline, even though most families have never heard a word about it. Right now is our opportunity to organize our communities to make it impossible for governors to ignore the overwhelming desire of their constituents for fully-funded public schools, not more voucher schemes that benefit for-profit schools at our expense.
