As we conclude this week and head into the weekend, I wanted to speak to you directly. The first week of March is coming to an end. Once again, Trump caved—temporarily withdrawing his tariffs against Mexico and Canada—and extended the “new tariff deadline” to April 2. Mexico largely ignored Trump this time, treating him the way my dad warned me to avoid the aggressive drunk at a bar. Canada, on the other hand, stood up strong and very publicly to Trump, punching back hard at the “bully with no clothes” after repeatedly being threatened with annexation and other acts of disrespect.
