What was staged as an all-school assembly to host Massachusetts Education Secretary Patrick Tutwiler instead revealed itself to be an award ceremony — for her. Metts is this year's only Massachusetts recipient of the the Milken Educator Award, a $25,000 prize that's nicknamed the "Oscars of Teaching."
