The Rundown   New Housing Near Jobs, Stores, and Transit Pays Off A lot of communities want to build more homes these days. But where should that housing go? New research finds that building near existing jobs, stores, and transit can lower infrastructure costs, generate more property tax revenue per acre, and make better use of roads and utilities that are already in place.
