Abdul El-Sayed AUGUST 4TH PRIMARY

Image
I am so proud to announce that I am endorsing Abdul El-Sayed for the United States Senate. If you’re already all-in for Abdul, please make a donation to his campaign right now. After watching this campaign unfold for well over a year, it has become clear that Abdul El-Sayed is the strongest candidate to keep this seat in November. Abdul is building a winning coalition by putting forward an agenda that speaks directly to working people. He is not afraid to take on the greed making life unaffordable across Michigan because he’s never taken a dime in corporate donations. When he gets to Washington, he will work to get big money out of politics and to guarantee health care as a human right to all Americans. But first, Abdul has to win the primary election on August 4th. He cannot do it alone. Outside groups are spending tens of millions of dollars to try to curb Abdul’s momentum. Worst of all, this strategy might be working – his opponent just surged in the polls by 15 points. He can...

I’ve got news for you – good and bad

Image
SHARED FOR INFORMATION AND EDUCATION!  SCRUTINIZE THE CANDIDATES AND QUESTION THE ANONYMOUS AD CAMPAIGNS! I’ve got news for you – good and bad. → The good news is a recent poll shows us up 10 points.   We're leading the Democratic primary by double digits after we had a HUGE month on the campaign trail and a great rally with Bernie. → The bad news is AIPAC-linked dark money groups and Super PACs are already spending against us.  They've booked over $6.2 million in TV ads, part of what we expect to be a $30 million onslaught against us and for Haley Stevens. And we know that, unfortunately, these ads are often effective at moving poll numbers quickly. I'll be honest with you. I'm writing this email scared. Scared that everything we've built — the big rallies, the online momentum, this 10-point lead — gets washed away by $30 million in ads. That’s why I need you. Donate $10 right now and help us fight back against their big money. This is the moment. Not next month....

Our campaign was just featured in The Washington Post!

Image
I wanted to reach out personally to share that our campaign was featured in  The Washington Post  today!    Everyone is looking for answers for how to respond to this administration, and in time, what we need to do to win back the House.  Here’s my take: we need to talk about real things, with a real agenda to improve people’s lives. We can’t just be against the things we don’t like. We need a positive vision for how we will address the challenges working families face. We need to talk about Americans being able to work just one job and build a middle-class life, lowering the costs of child care and prescription drugs, protecting fundamental rights, and making sure everyone can access quality, affordable health care. We have the ideas – we need to run on them and then get them done. That’s what our campaign is about. That’s why we won a district that Donald Trump carried by two points. And I’m so heartened to see people taking notice. But our work is far ...

Mike's Midterm Tsunami Truth #4

Mike's Midterm Tsunami Truth #4 Introducing The Whackadoodle 10 Michael Moore Sep 29   (Photo by Scott Olson/Getty Images) (A daily series to counter the reporting that the Republicans are going to win the House and Senate. They are not.) There are so many ways the Republicans are trying to help the Democrats win in November, it almost takes your breath away. Perhaps they are so cocksure of their own prowess, including their special powers to resurrect Trump in 2024. Or, maybe they feel sorry for the Dems who have often been unable to fight and win for the things they say they believe in.  Or maybe they’re just nuts. Because why else would you purposely help your opponent win by running the biggest batch of nutters nationwide in American electoral history? Don’t believe me? Well, my friends, to prove it I have scoured the country to find the biggest whackadoodles on the Republican side of the ballot — those candidates who are so insane, so absolutely bonkers they a...

Tudor Dixon is unfit to serve in public office

Image
Take a look at what Tudor Dixon said yesterday: “Tudor Dixon, the Republican nominee for governor of Michigan, mocked a kidnapping plot against her Democratic opponent, Gov. Gretchen Whitmer, at two campaign events on Friday.” -  The New York Times Republican Tudor Dixon makes light of plot to kidnap Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer at campaign stops -  CNN GOP candidate jokes about kidnapping plot against Michigan governor -  The Washington Post Tudor Dixon joked about the plot to kidnap Governor Whitmer. Threats of violence – whether to Governor Whitmer or to candidates and elected officials on the other side of the aisle – are no laughing matter, and the fact that Tudor Dixon thinks it's a joke shows that she is absolutely unfit to serve in public office. What candidates do and say matters. If you’re with us, rush a contribution of $5.00 today and help us win here. Threats of violence and dangerous rhetoric undermine our democracy and discourage good people...
