$1 billion

SHARED FOR INFORMATION AND EDUCATION ABOUT THE IMPACTS OF  MONEY IN ELECTIONS! AS A NATION, CAN WE CONTINUE TO ALLOW  MONEY TO BUY ELECTIONS? MONEY DROWNS OUT ISSSUES! I'm asking you to pitch in $3.   Not because $3 changes everything. But because thousands of people giving $3 absolutely can.   Pete Ricketts has billionaire money behind him. But we have a powerful coalition ourselves:    Teachers. Farmers. Veterans. Nurses. Working people.   That can overcome Pete’s billions— if we all pitch in.   My name is Dan Osborn.   I've spent my career as an industrial mechanic.   I'm running as an independent because Nebraska deserves someone who answers to working families—not party bosses or billionaire donors.   Every contribution sends a message that this seat isn't for sale, that Nebraska can't be bought, and that working people still have a voice. Can you chip in $3 today? DONATE NOW We're in this together,   Dan Osborn   C...

The U.S. Senate is a country club

Image
SHARED FOR INFORMATION AND EDUCATION OF THE IMPACTS OF DARK  MONEY AND VESTED INTERESTS ON ELECTIONS! The U.S. Senate is a country club. It’s full of billionaires, former business execs, lawyers with Ivy League degrees, and trust fund kids born with so many silver spoons in their mouths that they have no idea the reality for working-class people like me. If I defeat my opponent, the literal billionaire Republican Pete Ricketts, I will be the least wealthy member of the U.S. Senate. I don’t come from money, and I’m not rich. I’m a steamfitter and mechanic who’s worked 50 and 60-hour workweeks my whole life to give my kids a better life. I will be the only senator without a college degree. After my wife and I found out we were expecting a baby, I had to drop out and kill my dream of hanging a diploma on the wall because my family needed health insurance, diapers, and food on the table. I will be the only senator who is a blue-collar, card-carrying, union member. When Kello...

If you’ve been thinking about chipping in, this is the moment

SHARED FOR INFORMATION AND EDUCATION ABOUT ELECTION   REPORTS AND CANDIDATES!  I’m going to keep this short.   Tonight is our end-of-month deadline. Midnight. And I’m asking you personally:   If you’ve been thinking about chipping in, this is the moment. This campaign isn’t backed by billionaires. It isn’t powered by corporate PACs. It’s powered by people who decided to step up — people like you, I’ve spent my life working jobs where you don’t get to cut corners. You show up, you do the work, and you finish what you started.   That’s where we are right now.   Close —  but not done.   So I’m asking one more time before midnight: Can you chip in $5 or $10 to help us close this gap? Every dollar matters in a race like this. It all adds up. And tonight, it decides whether we hit this goal or fall short.   I wouldn’t ask if it didn’t matter.   Let’s finish this strong.   Dan   CONTRIBUTE   Paid for by Osborn for Senate ...

The Senate is broken. I’m not afraid to say it.

SHARED FOR EDUCATION AND INFORMATION!  LOTS OF HARDWORKING DEMOCRATS RUNNING FOR ELECTION! I’ve spent my life fixing things that are broken. On the factory floor. In the Navy. In the National Guard. And right now, there’s nothing more broken than the United States Senate. Washington isn’t working for people like us anymore. It’s working for billionaires, lobbyists, and corporations that write the rules for themselves — and leave the rest of us footing the bill. I’m Dan Osborn, and I’m running for Senate to fix Washington. Please, chip in $10, $25, or whatever you can right now to help me Please use the links in this email to start a donation through ActBlue: I’m not a career politician. I’m an industrial mechanic from Omaha, a former union leader who took on Kellogg’s to protect my coworkers’ wages and benefits, and a guy who knows what it means to work 80-hour weeks just to keep a middle-class life together. And I’m running as an independent because I don’t owe either ...

Morning Digest: A major election year is unfolding in D.C. as the city is besieged by Trump A high-profile race for mayor could pit democratic socialists against the establishment David Nir and Jeff Singer Dec 1   Councilmember Janeese Lewis George launched her campaign for mayor of Washington, D.C on Monday morning. (Credit: Janeese Lewis George Facebook) Leading Off Washington, D.C. Mayor Councilmember Janeese Lewis George  announced Monday morning  that she would run to replace Mayor Muriel Bowser, who  said last week  that she would not seek a fourth term leading Washington, D.C. But Lewis George, who is a self-described democratic socialist, almost certainly will have company in the race soon, as fellow Councilmember Kenyan McDuffie has  reportedly been preparing  his own campaign. And whoever prevails will face the same pressures Bowser did, thanks to the unique sway the federal government holds over the city. Most of the chatter surrou...
