Trump's AG flees after being confronted on Newsom hit job
VIDEO OF THE DAY: Attorney General confronted after DOJ drops bombshell announcement Yesterday, Governor Gavin Newsom announced on Twitter that the Justice Department had opened a punitive investigation into him and his wife as an act of political retribution for Newsom's constant criticism of Trump. “Today, my wife & I joined Donald Trump’s hit list. He has directed his Department of Justice to investigate us." Agents have “knocked on the doors on family friends and former employees. Not because they’ve found a crime, but because they’re trying to find one,” said Newsom in a video posted to Twitter. But when CNN''s Manu Raju confronted acting Attorney General Blanche about it, the AG simply ran away and refused to answer any questions. Sounds about par for the course for the Trump "Justice" Department, which is more interested in operating as the president's legal hit squad than they are upholding the law.
