DACA is dying – tell Congress we need citizenship NOW!
June 15 will mark 14 years of DACA, yet the future of hundreds of thousands of our neighbors has never felt more uncertain. Close to 340 DACA recipients have been detained in the last year. Nearly 90 of them have been deported and torn from their families and communities. Thousands more are losing their jobs, healthcare, and driver’s licenses everyday due to prolonged renewal delays. Sandra is a DACA recipient who has been waiting for her DACA renewal since November 2025. In January, her work authorization and protections lapsed, leading her to be suspended from her job. As a single mother of four, she is her family’s sole provider. Her children’s father was deported last May, and now, prolonged DACA renewal delays are putting her family at risk once more. Whether it’s prolonged delays, challenges in court, or the increasing threat of deportation, the DACA program is being dismantled before our eyes.
