They even had a cup of water ready for him – but he didn’t show. It’s clear that Rand Paul doesn’t care about the people he represents.   After losing almost everything, a community in East Kentucky is standing up to the coal industry and suing Blackhawk Mining. We know widespread strip mining has dramatically increased the risk and severity of these floods.  They deserve a leader who will fight for them, not against them. Rand Paul is not that leader. Rand Paul will never stand up to exploitative coal companies because you don’t bite the hand that feeds you.  That’s why he’s sold us out time and time again. Last I checked, Senators are elected to represent people, not corporations. Our grassroots movement is up against a lot of industry money in this race.
