  Our legal team has been working hard this week to keep the Trump administration in check – fighting to protect immigrants against extreme abuse and to keep troops off our streets. Here's the latest: We're suing ICE – again – for detaining people in inhumane living conditions. This time, we're taking them to court over conditions at California's largest immigrant detention center. People are being kept in isolation, denied basic necessities like adequate food or clean water, and facing severe abuse from staff members, including getting pepper-sprayed and receiving sexually abusive pat-downs. The people we're representing are being denied basic medical care – one of our clients likely has cancer but has gone months without seeing a specialist or getting any treatment, while another has received such substandard care for his diabetes that he now has an open ulcer.
