  We’ve got to stay focused. By now, I’m sure you’ve read all about DeSantis’s latest political stunts. Gov. DeSantis lied to refugee families, trafficked them across state lines, and then left them in Martha’s Vineyard. He even attempted to fly another group of migrants to Delaware but instead left them stranded in Texas in an attempt to “punk” the media. The worst part: It’s all a sad attempt to distract us from his extreme abortion ban — a ban that includes  no exceptions for victims of rape or incest.  Gov. DeSantis wants to change the subject — and the subject is that he has a horrible position on a woman’s right to choose. DeSantis is inhumane, manipulative, and self-serving,  but he’s not unbeatable.  Poll after poll shows our race in a dead heat, meaning we have a real shot at this. Today, we remember and reflect on the horrors of the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001. Nearly 3,000 people lost their lives, and millions more suffered unimaginable pain, grief, and suffering. We will never forget the immense loss of that solemn day. I also want to take a moment to remember the brave individuals — from the first responders and medical providers, to the members of our armed services — who selflessly served our country at its time of great need. Their heroism exemplifies the virtues upon which our country was built. I hope you will join me in taking a quiet moment to reflect on the loss and sacrifice of this day, and share in my hope for a stronger future for our country.
