For millions of families across this country, the Farm Bill determines whether there is enough food on the table. That's because the single largest part of the Farm Bill is nutrition assistance — programs like SNAP that help seniors, veterans, children, and working families afford groceries when times are tough. In the richest country on Earth, that should not be controversial. But right now, Republicans in Congress want to use the Farm Bill as an excuse to cut back on food assistance and make it harder for people to get the help they need. I strongly oppose that. I've said it before, and I'll say it again: there should be no Farm Bill that leaves people hungry. Everywhere I go in our district, I meet people who are struggling with rising grocery prices and housing costs...
