But the  New York Times ’  buzzy profile  of Olivia Nuzzi this month, in which her forthcoming memoir,  American Canto , reads like a diaristic slot machine of half-thoughts about her "digital affair" with Kennedy, in addition to the recent publication of Cheryl Hines ’  memoir, has forced the nation to consider the difficult and unsettling question: How can such ferocious desire be attached to a man as abhorrent as Kennedy? I didn't think I had it in me.
