The dismantling of the Justice Department
The New York Times Magazine recently published a piece about the gutting of the Justice Department. They interviewed more than 60 former attorneys, who either quit or were fired by the Trump administration. What they revealed should concern us all. Before I go on, I have to ask: Will you pitch in to help me keep up the fight for real justice and real accountability in this country? While Trump and his allies dismantle the Justice Department, I am doing all I can to hold it together. Donald Trump is trying to remake the Department of Justice in his disturbing image. He’s threatened and fired career attorneys who refuse to go along with his attacks on the rule of law and replaced them with extreme loyalists who are willing to bend to his will and do anything he asks.
