Ninety-year-olds with walkers and wheelchairs come every weekend to hold ICE accountable
We’re demanding ICE accountability every day―because ICE’s abuses are ongoing and vicious. Last year was the deadliest year for people in ICE custody in more than two decades. 1 And after an ICE officer killed Renee Good in Minneapolis, people organized more than 1,200 rallies and vigils across the country― including outside of the notorious ICE black site detention camp known as Alligator Alcatraz in the Florida Everglades. For months, our allies at The Workers Circle have been organizing a weekly Sunday vigil outside of Alligator Alcatraz, bringing hope, light, and song to those detained inside in inhumane conditions.
