  A new High Point University poll confirms what folks have been telling us at every cookout, town hall, and front porch across this district:  North Carolina is done with the MAGA circus. Across the state, 45% of voters say they’re backing Democrats for Congress, while only 42% are sticking with Republicans.  That’s in a state Trump carried by 3 points just a year ago.  When you break it down, Trump’s approval in North Carolina is underwater by 9 points, a 12 point swing in the wrong direction since the last election. 60% of North Carolinians disapprove of how Trump is handling inflation, and 54% disapprove of his so-called economic leadership.  They’re tired of the tariffs, the job losses, and the endless lies about “growth.”  People across this state are feeling the squeeze, and they know who’s to blame. Folks, we’ve already closed this race down to single digits. With data like this we can flip this seat and send the head of the NRCC packing.   But...

  We’re about to be 30 days into this government shutdown, and it’s important to remember why we’re here. Trump and Republicans are set to cut funding that helps bring down the cost of health care plans under the Affordable Care Act. Democrats stepped up to defend Americans from skyrocketing premiums and millions losing their coverage. Republicans have spent 30 days refusing to negotiate or even consider finding a solution to this health care crisis that they created. Let’s put those cuts in perspective.  24 million  Americans are currently getting their health insurance through the ACA, and all are in danger of seeing hikes to their premiums come 2026. One of those Americans is Jessica from Florida.
