  Today marks 21 years since the attack on our nation on September 11th. It was a dark day for our nation that I will never forget. I hope you will join me in taking a moment to remember those we lost and hold their loved ones in our hearts. We remember not only those who died in the violence of that day but also the brave first responders and our service members who stepped up to protect our nation. These courageous people put their lives at risk to defend our freedoms and security, and many of those who survived that day are still struggling to get the support they need and deserve. We owe it to them to recommit to the work of building a peaceful, safe and prosperous future for every single American, regardless of race and creed.
