She was asked about the high percentage of vets who are federal employees getting fired by DOGE : “We have a fiscal responsibility to use taxpayer dollars to pay people who actually work. That doesn’t mean we are going to forget about our vets - we are going to care for them. But perhaps they’re not fit to have a job at this moment or they’re not willing to come to work.” … This really tells you all you need to know.
