Bernie founded Our Revolution six years ago to be the vanguard of the progressive movement — and we’ve been hard at work shifting the window of what’s possible.
In 2022, we’ve pressured President Biden to put a dent in student debt, tax the rich, and allow Medicare to negotiate drug prices — but this is just a start.
To build on these hard-fought first steps, we’re going to need to go BIG in the midterms.
“This is going to alter the balance,” Our Revolution Executive Director Joseph Geevarghese told The Hill. “We can put progressives in a more strategic position. We may be able to get rid of the filibuster and dilute the outsized power of Manchin and Sinema.”
General Election 4-Point Plan
1.Defeat far-right criminals up and down the ballot
2. Keep or expand majorities in the US House and Senate
3. Flip Senate seats while electing progressives like John Fetterman and Mandela Barnes to cancel out Manchin & Sinema
4. Get our progressive primary winners over the finish line and strengthen our voting block in the House

Our Revolution joined forces with California fast food workers and mobilized a barrage of calls to state senators - changing some of their votes to YES on AB 257 - the FAST Recovery Act.
“Lawmakers sent this proposal to Gov. Gavin Newsom — he should sign it into law and give fast-food workers a voice in shaping conditions for their industry across the state,” the LA Times reported this week.
Sign our petition urging Newsom to stand with workers like Angelica Hernandez, a McDonald’s employee of 18 years, who told us of an industry rife with wage theft, sexual harassment, discrimination, and health and safety issues.

US Rep. Ayanna Pressley values the progressive partnership between activists and elected allies, and Our Revolution is proud to back her re-election to Congress in Massachusetts’ 7th.
We welcomed Ayanna to our live National Organizing Call on Monday, where she talked about student debt and the role of our movement in advancing our policy goals.
“We wouldn’t be here were it not for our grassroots coalition organizing for years,” she said. “Biden responded to our movement, and now we must address root causes and get to tuition-free public college.”
We are seeing the results of our activism in real-time. Join Our Revolution and Ayanna Pressley in a huge midterm push so we can keep building on our gains!

Joe is a father and coalition builder, and he was recently elected President of CWA Local #53, where he served as VP for 12 years.
“We must protect the rights of working-class families and build a strong economy that works for everyone,” he said on our National Organizing Call.
Simi Valley is a diverse city that is 40% Democrat, 40% Republican, and 20% Independent — and Joe Ayala is the right messenger to get voters behind our commonsense progressive solutions.

Oakland City Council President Pro Tem Sheng Thao is one of the Bay Area’s boldest and most influential progressive leaders, and Our Revolution is backing her for mayor of Oakland, CA!
The daughter of refugees, Sheng grew up poor and lived in public housing. “When I talk about representation, I mean lived life experience,” she told us on our Live National Call.
Sheng has been a leader on issues like affordable housing, homeless services, and protecting immigrant communities. She is City Hall’s leader on wildfire prevention and expanded Oakland’s paid sick leave policy.

Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich joined our National Organizing Call on Monday to recap his narrow primary win against a pharma CEO.
He credited Our Revolution members and activists for helping him clinch the 32-vote victory, certified after a nail-biting recount!
It was a tough fight against pharma CEO David Blair and Jeff Bezos’s Washington Post, but a multi-racial, multi-generational coalition of working families came together across the county and won.
Donate to our Swing State Fund to mobilize progressive voters to make the difference (like we did for Elrich) in the fast-approaching high-stakes midterm elections!

Our Revolution is leading the charge alongside Greenpeace and frontline communities to kill Joe Manchin’s dirty side deal to fast-track fossil fuels.
Manchin has issued an ultimatum — greenlight new pipelines and cut community protections or he’ll shut down the government on Sept. 30.
We’re calling for a progressive mutiny if leadership tries to jam this through. Democrats cannot cave to these terrorist tactics to reverse recent climate steps.
TELL YOUR HOUSE REP:
- Don’t fast-track new gas or oil projects
- Don’t fast-track carbon pipelines
- Don’t cut safeguards for impacted communities
- Separate the fast-track vote from the must-pass resolution to fund the government

Our Revolution and our coalition of 33 progressive DNC members are pushing a resolution to ban dark money from Democratic primaries — and a decision will come next week.
“Every leader of the Democratic Party has condemned dark money and Citizens United. Now is time to do something about it,” Our Revolution Chair and DNC member Larry Cohen told The Nation.
We’ve seen what millions in dark money have done to progressives like Jessica Cisneros, Nina Turner, and US Rep. Andy Levin. Reach out to your state and local parties to call on their support for our resolution.
Help demonstrate the power of this grassroots demand every day up through the Sept. 10th voting deadline. Chip in now to help us BAN dark money.

Joe Manchin is threatening to shut down the government by Sept. 30 if he doesn’t get more pipelines and fewer safeguards for impacted communities.
Our Revolution is leading the charge alongside frontline communities and environmental justice groups to kill the deal, which would undo the climate gains of the Inflation Reduction Act.
