In breaking news, Trump's DOJ and his novice prosecutor Lindsey Halligan in a new late night filing, effectively admit fatal "errors" in how Halligan had the Former FBI Director James Comey "edited" after the Grand Jury left for the day by a "coordinator", that there was no required transcript of her interaction with grand jurors, and that the purported indictment was never seen by the grand jury to vote on it. Popok dissects the new legal brief and explains how even Halligan and the DOJ know they will likely be on the losing end of the case, with the indictment likely to be dismissed and for good by Judge Nachmanoff. Given the Republican’s close margin in the Senate, he can afford to lose only three Republican senators. But Republican senators don’t like the idea of cutting Medicaid — many of their constituents depend on it — and they’re balking at the huge deficit-busting price tag (which, of course, includes a giant tax cut mostly for the wealthy).
