A ballroom billion

$200 million.

No more than $300 million.

$400 million.

Not one penny.

$1 billion.

Each of these things we've been told is the total cost to the taxpayer for Donald Trump's illegal East Wing ballroom.

So which is it?

Well, this week, the Senate has been debating the last number. $1 billion of your money to build a ballroom for a man who is legally required to leave the White House at the start of 2029.

So, what are Republicans doing to make sure we're reducing the deficit, giving tax breaks to working Americans, and making sure people have healthcare? Nothing.

Instead, they're legitimately contemplating passing the "Ballroom Billion." Taking your money, money that's supposed to be set aside so you can have affordable healthcare and housing. All of this is happening while people are struggling to buy groceries to feed themselves and their families.

I don't want to give them one penny towards that ballroom billion. There are too many families here in Massachusetts and across the country who would benefit from that money coming into their lives to waste it on an illegal vanity project, sold to us by a career con-man.

It's time we took back Congress and stopped letting this absurdity fester and infect our country further.

In solidarity,

Jim
