Demonstrators gathered along the route Vance’s motorcade was expected to travel, holding signs that read “Yes It’s Cold—We Won’t Stop,” “Stop Coverup,” and “JD Protects Pedophiles.” It was the only kind of homecoming Vance deserves. DON’T MESS WITH JACK WHITE GOP Rep. Tim Burchett was on the receiving end of one of the most brutal takedowns of the maga cult I’ve ever seen. Burchett thought it would be funny to share a fake video of legendary rock star Jack White saying: “Don’t even think about listening to my music, you fascists.” Burchett also mocked White, calling him “that cute little girl from the Addams Family,” saying he got “really ugly and angry.” White responded with straight fire: “All of trump’s lackeys and bootlicks like this elected official are cowards that would never talk this way to anybody like me or you in person. trump really lowered the bar when he brought his scourge to this government.” “They all just regurgitate cheap, childish, grade school bullying points and fake Christian(!) rhetoric,” White continued. “Holding a Bible in one hand and a flag in the other while you stomp out our democracy day by day in the service of one man’s ego … Embarrassing.” Don’t mess with Jack White. ROCKWELL FAMILY TRASHES TRUMP REGIME For months, the Trump regime has been using paintings by artist Norman Rockwell in government social media posts to push their awful propaganda. Rockwell’s granddaughter Daisy didn’t take kindly to that, offering this simple but powerful rebuke: “Norman Rockwell was antifa.” Daisy, along with other members of the Rockwell family, wrote in an op-ed last year: “If Norman Rockwell were alive today, he would be devastated to see that not only does the problem Ruby Bridges confronted 65 years ago still plague us as a society, but that his own work has been marshaled for the cause of persecution toward immigrant communities and people of color.” MAMDANI’S RALLY Yesterday, NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani was sworn in before holding a fired-up rally with Sen. Bernie Sanders and Dem Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. Sanders slammed Mamdani’s critics for calling “the agenda that he campaigned on ‘radical.’ In the richest country in the history of the world, making sure that people can live in affordable housing is not radical.” AOC delivered some words of inspiration, stating: “We have chosen courage over fear. We have chosen prosperity for the many over spoils for the few … to turn toward making a new future for all of us.” And Mamdani said: “I promise you this … Regardless of whether we agree, I will protect you, celebrate with you, mourn alongside you, and never, not for a second, hide from you.” PELOSI ON TRUMP’S BROKEN BRAIN Speaker Emerita Nancy Pelosi called out Trump’s broken brain in a recent interview. “I’ve had enough of [Trump],” Pelosi said, noting that she didn’t watch his latest national rant. “But I did see some of it in the news afterward, and I think it was a demonstration of his mental incapacity.” Pelosi added that Trump’s attack on Rob Reiner is more proof that “something’s wrong there” in Trump’s brain, adding: “And something’s wrong with the people around him that they don’t stop him from his ridiculousness.” That is the truth. NEWSOM BEATS TRUMP Trump finally announced the withdrawal of the National Guard from multiple cities—including Los Angeles—mostly to avoid further inevitable court losses. “I’m glad [Trump] has finally admitted defeat,” Newsom stated. He then blasted the federalization of the National Guard as “illegal,” saying it was nothing more than “Trump’s political theater.” It sure was. Through all of Trump’s attacks, Newsom kept fighting. You know what else I loved about his inauguration? When it was over, he served coffee and hot chocolate to the staff/crew who were cleaning up after the event. Leading by example, with respect and authenticity. Rarely do we see bits of caring for the worker bees who clean up our messes. They truly are the backbone of this country who hardly ever get lifted up.
