Earth Day is personal for me
SHARED FOR EDUCATION AND INFORMATION ABOUT THE IMPORTANCE OF OUR
ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY!
Happy Earth Day! Today is a moment for all of us to do our part to protect the environment and leave the world better than we found it. There are many ways to make an impact… you can plant a tree, pick up litter, or donate to an environmental organization. Look: I’ve always been vocal about the reality of climate change. While Donald Trump and his MAGA allies dismiss it as a “hoax,” those of us in California know the truth. This is an emergency. For me, this issue is personal. Growing up, I struggled with severe asthma and relied on an inhaler just to breathe. I know firsthand how critical air quality is to our health. It’s why I’m so concerned about the Trump administration’s efforts to fire scientists and let big polluters off the hook by gutting clean air standards. I’ve also been one of the loudest voices in Congress on the frontlines of our wildfire crisis. We must take immediate action to make our communities more fire resilient. That starts with supporting the heroes on the ground. I fought to give our firefighters the pay raise they deserve for battling extreme conditions to protect our homes and keep us safe. The 2026 election is a turning point for our planet. The science is clear: we have a very narrow window to reduce our carbon emissions and prevent the worst effects of climate change for future generations. My race in California’s 9th district is a must-win. We cannot let MAGA extremists flip this seat, or we lose our ability to fight back against Trump’s attacks on our environment and make real progress. This is about the future we leave to our kids and grandkids. Can I count on you to rush in a donation to our campaign this Earth Day? Let’s show that our climate movement is strong, determined, and ready to take back the House. The only way out of this crisis is through direct and immediate action, Josh |
