Important Sunday Message from MeidasTouch Co-Founder
Hey everyone, it’s Ben Meiselas, co-founder of the MeidasTouch Network. I’ve got my Sunday coffee here, and as always, this is the post I look forward to all week. It’s a chance to just talk directly with you. No filters, no noise. just us. Before I dive in, let me say this right at the top: if you’ve been reading these Sunday posts and haven’t subscribed yet, now’s the time. We’re building something big together, something that’s actually breaking through the noise, and I want you with us as part of this community. So make sure you subscribe today. Alright… let’s talk about this week. It’s been one of the most chaotic and frankly dangerous weeks we’ve seen in a while, and it ended with what I think is one of the most brazen examples yet of Donald Trump just completely fabricating reality about Iran. On Friday, Trump went on a full blitz, calling reporters and claiming there was this massive breakthrough in ceasefire negotiations. He said the Strait of Hormuz was fully open, that there was cooperation between U.S. and Iranian forces to remove nuclear material, that Iran agreed to stop funding proxy groups—all of it. He framed it like this historic victory. And look, Trump lies a lot. We all know that. But even by his standards, this was on another level. What made it worse? A lot of corporate media just ran with it. No verification. No skepticism. They gleefully took on the role of stenographer At MeidasTouch, we didn’t do that. We looked at the actual data. We checked shipping movements in the Strait of Hormuz. We followed what was happening on the ground. And the truth was obvious: none of what Trump said was happening. Iran still controlled the Strait. Tankers were only moving through tightly controlled routes near the Iranian coast. And then Iranian officials came out and flat-out rejected everything Trump claimed. And now? Things are escalating. The ceasefire deadline is looming. Iran is threatening a full shutdown. Oil markets are reacting. Global alliances are shifting, without the United States at the center. Meanwhile, Trump is up all night posting deranged content—Frank Sinatra songs, conspiracy theories about the CIA, relitigating 2020 and 2016, attacking anyone and everyone. Just completely unhinged behavior while the stakes couldn’t be higher. And here’s what I kept thinking about this morning, sipping my coffee… This is exactly why what we’re building at MeidasTouch matters so much. Because when that lie dropped on Friday, we didn’t amplify it. We didn’t chase clicks. We told the truth—immediately. That’s the difference. Whether it’s this story, or our reporting on Trump corruption, or the Epstein files, or Trump’s declining health, or Trump’s support of Russia, or Melania, or the global realignment happening right now—we don’t wait for permission. We don’t follow the herd. We follow the facts. And that’s why we’re growing. That’s why we’ve been ahead of corporate media time and time again. And that’s why your support, seriously, matters so much right now. So I’m going to ask you again, right here in the middle of this post: if you’re not subscribed, join us. Help us keep expanding. Help us keep building a media network that actually fights for truth and doesn’t cave to power. Because the reality is, these are difficult times. You feel it. I feel it. We all do. There’s a lot of uncertainty right now—globally, economically, politically. But what we can control is how we show up. And at MeidasTouch, we’re going to keep showing up every single day, doing the work, telling the truth, and fighting for you. And I mean that. We’re listening to you. We’re building this with you. This isn’t just another media company—it’s something bigger. Something generational. Anyway… I’m going to finish this coffee and log a few more reports. Thank you for being here. Thank you for reading. And seriously—make sure you’re subscribed. |
