Marco Rubio flew to Budapest to show the regime’s support for Viktor Orbán in February, and JD Vance was there last week. During a rally, Vance called Trump from the stage and got a voicemail box that wasn’t set up yet. When Trump picked up on the second try, he told the crowd: “I love Hungary and I love that Viktor.” Hungary’s voters chose Viktor Orbán’s opposition, Péter Magyar, in a landslide—with a record turnout of nearly 80%. Magyar’s Tisza party won a supermajority of 138 out of Hungary’s 199 parliamentary seats. Orbán called Magyar to concede, then faced his own supporters. Orbán told them it was “painful.” He then walked off the stage. At his rally in Budapest, Magyar told a massive crowd: “Together we replaced the Orbán regime, together we liberated Hungary. We took our country back.” He said the victory was so large it was “visible from the moon and every window in Hungary,” adding: “Tonight, truth prevailed over lies.” Hungary just proved what we’ve always known—when people show up, autocrats lose. The movement is real, it’s spreading, and November is next. NOT GUILTYICE GESTAPO BOOBS DEFEATED IN USE OF DANGEROUS WEAPONS AGAINST PEACEFUL PROTESTERS....
Jonathan Caravello, 38, a lecturer at Cal State Channel Islands, was outside a Camarillo cannabis farm in July when federal agents fired tear gas into a crowd that included children and elderly community members. When a canister rolled toward a protester in a wheelchair, he picked it up and threw it over the agents’ heads. No one was hit. The regime charged him with felony assault anyway. Their own body camera footage showed agents laughing about gassing the crowd, celebrating canisters as “f**king awesome.” Facing twenty years, he fought the charge for nine months. A jury took two hours to say not guilty. Outside the courthouse, Caravello spoke to a large crowd of supporters, including students who drove 70 miles to stand with him. “I’m tired of them kidnapping, abducting people—and then indiscriminately using weapons against us,” he said. To date, federal prosecutors in Los Angeles have not won a single case involving alleged assault on a federal officer stemming from anti-immigration protests. OREGON LOCKED THE DOOR
On April 9, Oregon’s county and state governments moved in tandem against the regime. Multnomah County—which includes Portland—voted unanimously to codify sanctuary protections into law, effective immediately. Federal agents must now get a judicial warrant in order to enter any county building, county funds can no longer be used for immigration enforcement, and county property can’t be contracted for ICE detention.
Commissioner Shannon Singleton was clear: “I stand as firm as I did then against this authoritative, racist, fascist, and xenophobic federal regime—we will stand up to bullies and stand up for all of our immigrant and refugee friends, families, and neighbors.” The same day, Governor Tina Kotek signed eight bills that strengthened sanctuary protections at schools, hospitals, courtrooms, workplaces, and companies that sell personal information. All institutions the regime has tried to weaponize. At a signing ceremony in Portland, Kotek was direct: “To those in Washington, DC, who think they can bully Oregon into abandoning our values and neighbors, you got it wrong. Oregon is not staying quiet, and we are not backing down.” FESTUS VOTED, EVERY INCUMBENT IS GONE
On March 30, the Festus City Council in Missouri approved a $6 billion data center despite the objection of hundreds of residents they ignored. One council member was even caught texting another member: “Just got to make sure we keep our city council focused and not get caught in the sideshow of uneducated people.” One week later, every single incumbent who supported the development lost their seat. The day after the election, four property owners filed a 54-page lawsuit against the city and developer. Named plaintiff Mary Fakes said: “We had no voice. We talked for two hours on the last council meeting. And immediately they just approved it.” They called their constituents uneducated. Those same folks just voted them out and sued. That’s a clear verdict with more to come. THE CHILDREN ARE BACK
In January, federal agents flooded Columbia Heights, Minnesota as part of Trump’s federal invasion. They grabbed parents while shoveling snow, circled schools, and staged raids from their parking lots. Seven students were taken into federal custody, including 5-year-old Liam Conejo Ramos, whose blue bunny hat became a heartbreaking symbol of this regime’s cruelty. Hundreds stopped coming to school. Some hid with blankets on their bedroom windows. One child’s family left the country rather than live under Trump. Last week, the students came back to Valley View Elementary. Down a gold carpet, under a balloon arch, into their school that had been half-empty for months. Principal Leslee Sherk said: “It’s like the first day of school all over again.” One student said: “I am very happy because me no stay in my house. I am very, very happy.” Another walked in and said: “I feel happy because I’m coming back and I see my friends.” We are living through one of the most consequential fights in US history. The outcome isn’t written yet. But look at what happened in this edition alone—a tyrant was toppled, a jury said not guilty, voters fired every council member who betrayed them, a governor locked the door on ICE, and children came back to school. We exist to make sure you see every one of these wins. Funded by readers alone, we answer to no one else—all while leading the resistance through our Contact Congress campaigns and one of the largest social media operations against Trump ever. The resistance is winning. Help us keep proving it by becoming a paid subscriber today. Before you go—hit the ❤️ like button and re-stack this edition to make sure everyone hears these stories before the regime tries to bury them. Onward! Scott I have two questions for you today. What would you say to the students in Columbia Heights who came back to school last week? The regime has lost every assault case against immigration protesters it’s brought to trial in Los Angeles. Why do you think that is? 🚨 FIVE URGENT ACTIONS TODAY--NEW ACTIONS COMING THIS WEEK 🚨 Impeach Trump! https://actionnetwork.org/letters/tell-congress-begin-drafting-articles-of-impeachment-against-trump/ 🚨 Impeach Pete Hegseth! https://actionnetwork.org/letters/tell-congress-impeach-pete-hegseth/ 🚨 Defend voting rights! https://actionnetwork.org/letters/tell-congress-push-back-on-trumps-attacks-on-our-voting-rights/ 🚨 Stop Trump regime from deporting people with Temporary Protected Status https://actionnetwork.org/letters/tell-congress-stop-trump-regime-from-deporting-people-with-temporary-protected-status/ 🚨Vote NO on SAVE Act: https://actionnetwork.org/letters/tell-congress-vote-no-on-the-save-act-to-protect-our-democracy/ JUST A FEW WELL INFORMED COMMMENTS: Now we can add the brave Hungarians also known as Magyars, as a landmark and milestone in the fight against authoritarianism alongside the heroes and defenders of Minneapolis. I love that Orban's opponent's last name is Magyar. This one actually gave me chills. From a landslide in Hungary crushing Europe's Trump to kids triumphantly walking back into school down a gold carpet, you can feel the tsunami building. These aren’t just wins—they’re proof that the resistance is gaining ground everywhere. Congress is ours to win. That “tsunami building” feeling is real — momentum is a weapon when people stop being isolated and start moving together. Those kids walking back in isn’t symbolism — it’s power reclaiming space in public. Absolutely! Me too, Sam! And so well said by both you and Scott! Yes! Yes! Yes! Almost 80% of Hungarians voting!!! We need a HUGE push to register and get our citizens to vote in November, like the people who voted and made all the difference in Hungary!! We would have won the last election if there weren’t so many democrats that didn’t vote because they were stuck on an issue instead of really looking at the big picture. I may vote for someone who doesn’t heck all the boxes, if it keeps a maga out of our government. Scott, we are winning! The regime has begun a losing streak and the biggest loss of all will be when the Democrats take control of the House and Senate in November. I'm frightened that Trump & Co. will declare martial law and "cancel" all elections. That is really the only way open to them. Better start thinking now about what to do then. Speaking of Hungary, when the Austrian Empire collapsed in WWI, a short-lived communist government took over in Budapest. But on August 1, 1919, that government collapsed, Enter Admiral Horthy's counter-revolutionary army, which marched in, herded the new government down to the Danube River, shot them, pushed the bodies into the river where they washed down to Budapest and created human logjams around the city's bridge piers, which soon stank in the late summer heatwave until soldiers freed the corpses with poles and the bodies continued their way down to warn the folks in Romania & Yugoslavia that a "strong man," had pacified Hungary. Hungary was now the world's first full-scale fascist government. Hitler was inspired by his neighbor. You don't need to watch scary movies or watch billionaires dance around with chain saws: just read a little 20th century history I REALLLLY APPRECIATE YOU, SCOTT!!!! Thank you for your diligence in trying to get this guy outta here!! I love your action item lists--so helpful. I love your focus, your good news and victory reports! You are one of my favorites. By far. Thank you! Welcome Back Valley View students! ! So happy for Hungary as well and the other wins!!! 1) It warms my heart that these little kitties get to go back to school! If I were a teacher or counselor there I would welcome them back with open arms. 2) As far as the TRump regime's (in)justice department losing the vast majority of the cases they file, I'm pretty sure it's because everything they're doing is illegal and contrary to the constitutional laws of our country. ONWARD!!! I don't like talk to text! I said kiddos, not kitties... 🤗 Yes — welcome them back like they belong, because they do. And when the DOJ keeps losing, it’s not “bad luck,” it’s a system trying to weaponize law and getting exposed in court. TRUMP REJOICES THAT OBÁN PROVED THAT TRUMP ISN’T THE ONLY LOSER It looks like it might have been a toss-up going into the election in Hungary with Obán's opponent slightly in the lead. As they were making the turn toward the home stretch though, a dark horse broke out from nowhere and easily clinched the election for Obán's opponent. The dark horse, of course, was J.D.Vance. Yes, the same detestable, fanatical right-wing zealot, who is number 2 behind Trump in being loathed the world over, and was the kiss of death for Obán the minute he stepped off the plane to campaign for Oban. Vance is unquestionably the secret weapon that the Democrats can use in November by having him actively campaign for the Republican candidates. His support for Republicans would be a slam-dunk for the Democrats. As for Trump, the Republicans would be wise to minimize his exposure leading up to the November elections, but we all know that he's never happy until he can make an ass of himself on the world stage and come out from his private world of fantasies to take repeated curtain calls for his adoring fans. As each day passes, the world awaits the next eruption from our very own unstable and unpredictable megalomaniac, who is obsessed with leaving to posterity the glorious memories of The Golden Age of Poltical Buffoonery. So happy that these children returned to school. No child should have to stay home hiding from a government, especially here. And congratulations to Hungary 🇭🇺 so happy for them. tRump & JD must be fuming 😡 and I LOVE IT!!! That line about kids not having to hide from their own government is the whole indictment. Children should never be the collateral of political cruelty — and seeing them back in school is exactly what resistance is for. If Orban can't rig Hungary's election. I'm feeling pretty good that Trump and his team of idiots won't be any more successful. Onward! That’s the tell: even with power, they can’t fully control what happens when people show up and vote anyway. Authoritarians win by exhaustion — they lose when the public refuses to disengage. Be gone, Orban! And take the 🍊 with you! ORBAN: CPAC's FAVORITE DICTATOR! I posted a comment about ORBAN and was attacked by a MAGA MAGOT: he's not a dictator! HUNGARY understands the consequences of ORBAN's RULE!! Thanks to ALL, including SCOTT who are working to inform others in far flung nations about the THREATS TO DEMOCRACY! We don't know who reads, but WE know they're READING! AMERICA was the SHINING LIGHT ON THE HILL....until PROJECT 2025,DEMENTIA DON, fascism and the disembowelment of DEMOCRACY by the WEALTHY! ICE GESTAPO: In the case of Jonathan Caravello: he was acquitted, but when will the PARTISAN FEDERAL PROSECUTORS charge ICE GESTAPO AGENTS for their ABUSE - TARGETING PEACEFUL PROTESTERS WITH DANGEROUS WEAPONS? It matters because ICE GESTAPO THUGS have done it elsewhere, caused serious injuries. Remember the innocent family on their way back from sports practice with kids & an infant in the car who were ASSAUSTED BY ICE GESTAPO THUGS and the baby stopped breathing? ICE GESTAPO THUGS jeopardize INNOCENT FAMILIES AND PEACEFUL PROTESTERS! PROSECUTE! PROSECUTE! PROSECUTE! |
