Republicans were forced into a vote so brutal they canceled it and ran from DC. A Jan 6 hero called Trump’s slush fund the greatest betrayal of his life. Federal judges blocked the regime’s voter data grab in two more states. And Colorado Democrats censured their own governor for caving to Trump over a convicted election saboteur. SLUSH FUND BACKFIRESThe regime just opened the door to giving taxpayer money to rioters who stormed the Capitol on Jan 6. The corruption is so brazen it even lost one of its own. Brian Morrissey—who clerked for Clarence Thomas—quit the day the slush fund launched. But one of the loudest voices against it this week was hero Michael Fanone. The former DC police officer was tased to the point of a heart attack defending the Capitol on Jan. 6—and has refused to let America forget ever since. After watching the regime announce a $1.776 billion payout to the people who tried to kill him, Fanone let them have it: “A nearly 2 billion dollar slush fund wrapped in an American symbol to be placed like a wreath at Arlington Cemetery to the violent insurrectionists who tried to overthrow democracy over a lie. In my book, this is the greatest betrayal of them all.” Fanone’s been loudly fighting this regime since the moment Trump summoned that mob. This week, their corruption proved everything he’s said right. TRUMP’S ACCOMPLICES ARE RUNNING AWAYTrump launched his slush fund this week. Within hours, Democrats had turned it into a trap. Rep. Jamie Raskin moved first, filing legislation that would bar Jan 6 defendants, Trump, his family, his Cabinet, and his political appointees from ever getting a dime. Then Sen. Chris Van Hollen filed an amendment so brutal—blocking the slush fund from paying out to violent criminals—that Senate Republicans canceled their own vote rather than going on the record. The same Republicans who confirmed the most corrupt Cabinet ever—and funded this regime—suddenly found a line they wouldn’t cross. Senator Dick Durbin nailed it: “On May 21st 2026, Republicans finally found an ethical bridge too far.” Democrats didn’t just oppose the slush fund. They made the regime’s own party afraid to defend it. TWO JUDGES, TWO MORE LOSSES FOR TRUMPFederal judges in Maine and Wisconsin handed the DOJ a double defeat on Thursday—making it a total of eight states where federal courts have rejected the regime’s voter data grab. The DOJ wanted dates of birth, home addresses, driver’s license numbers, and partial Social Security numbers from every state’s voter rolls. In Maine, Chief US District Judge Lance Walker called the government’s claim “half-hearted” and threw it out. In Wisconsin, US District Judge James Pederson ruled the federal civil rights law the regime cited gave it no power to demand voter data. Maine Secretary of State Shenna Bellows didn’t mince words: “Trump and the DOJ may continue to try to interfere with free and fair elections run by the states. We will not let them.” The regime wants a national voter database. The courts keep saying no. WE ARE NOT THE SAMEThen came Colorado. And the proof that accountability isn’t a partisan weapon—it’s a principle that applies to everyone—including Democrats. Last week, Gov. Jared Polis cut Tina Peters’ nine-year sentence in half. Peters is the former Mesa County Clerk who breached her own voting systems as part of a scheme to manufacture evidence to support Trump’s 2020 election lie. She’s released on parole June 1. Colorado Secretary of State Jena Griswold didn’t hold back: “Selling out our state’s justice system for Trump is an affront to the rule of law.” The Colorado Democratic Party refused to look the other way, with 90% of the State Central Committee voting on Wednesday to formally censure Polis and bar him from attending party events. DNC member Stephanie Beal was clear: “Reducing her sentence now, under pressure from Donald Trump, is not justice. It sends a message to future bad actors that election tampering has consequences unless you’re friends with the president.” REMEMBER THISThe regime announced a $1.776 billion payout to Jan 6 rioters and expected people to be quiet about it. Instead, the country fought back. Fanone called it the greatest betrayal. Raskin filed his bill. Van Hollen made Republicans cancel their own vote. Federal judges shut the door in the regime’s face. And Colorado Democrats censured their own governor. Here’s the part you don’t see. Behind every one of these wins is an operation leading the resistance forward—725,000 phone calls and emails to Congress since November 2024, billions of monthly impressions on social media, and our Watchdog Coalition is uniting elected officials, labor leaders, and partner organizations into one fight. Real conscience or pure self-preservation? I want to hear from you in the comments! JUST A FEW OF MANY COMMENTS: This week showed the regime cracking from the inside. Republicans literally canceled their own vote rather than defend paying Jan 6 rioters with our money. Fanone called it the greatest betrayal of his life. Judges blocked the voter data grab in two more states. And Colorado Democrats actually held their own governor accountable. The tide is turning! Paying cop killers with our tax dollars seems to have touched a GOP nerve. If they have one. No nerve, IMHO. Just fear of being associated with the grift and held accountable by their constituents... result: not getting re-elected to their cushy jobs. The corruption, treason, and betrayal gets deeper and wider everyday. I think they ran from the vote purely for self-preservation. None of them have a conscience. Scott, the GOP elected officials see a HUGE Blue Tsunami coming in November and are trying to get out of the way! I would have bailed on it, too! But with a big fat NO vote! when the R's turn tail and run, I'd hardly call that a return to conscientiousness. Rats bailing off a sinking ship. Yeah, that is more likely. Scott, the GOP elected officials see a HUGE Blue Tsunami coming in November and are trying to get out of the way! If they had conscience they would have stayed, voted against and gone on the record in support of democracy; fleeing also puts them on the record as betrayers of public trust and cowards. Holy Moses Johnson’s greatest achievements as Speaker is cutting and running. I think self preservation first and maybe an "oh shit this has gone too far." Still they are cowards to cut and run when the country needs them to stand up. Surely you jest. Pure self-preservation only. Self preservation, they don’t have working consciences anymore! If ever! Self- preservation by the Republicans- but only because of Jamie Raskin and Chis Van Hollen. Michael Fanone is a true hero. Self preservation, they don’t have working consciences anymore! If ever! Will we ever know? My sense? My two cents? #InspiringAConsciousInCongress even if it comes through self/preservation. They went home to an angry constituency undefeated while the rest of America has been inspired by concerted focused action. Well done Scott and team. When you tally up which states gladly provided voter data to the feds, make sure you count Ohio. Secretary of State LaRose tripped over his own feet in his rush to provide Ohio’s list. Why am I not surprised?? OHIO VOTERS are lost and continue to vote against their best interests! We've discussed this before and I'm still baffled that after CORRUPT REPUBLICANS (convicted in court) bought crumbling power plants, screwed rate payers, why would you continue to vote for CORRUPT REPUBLICANS? I think it is fair to say that Senate republicans, House republicans, and republicans in general have demonstrated that they have no conscience. But plenty of fear…. Senate Republicans bailed on Trump’s slush fund this week. Real conscience or pure self-preservation? Really, you have to ask?? Of course self-preservation, but here's the question - Will it work? I'm so glad the Democrats fought back on Polis' cutting Peter's sentence! The judge did the right thing in the first place and he had NO BUSINESS letting her out of it! I live in CO and so glad Polis is almost done as our Governor! I wrote to him this: Gov. Polis WHAT IN THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU? Tina Peters was found guilty! You have NO right to let her off with a lighter sentence!!! Are you a tRUMP MAGA? If you can undo what you have done PLEASE DO SO! I still don't think most rethuglicans have any bridge too far. It's more like "I'll support anything he wants as long as it doesn't hurt my wallet." I think it is fair to say that Senate republicans, House republicans, and republicans in general have demonstrated that they have no conscience. Massachusetts has a gaggle of WEALTHY TRUMPERS running for GOVERNOR. After the EXECUTIONS of 2 INNOCENT U.S CITIZENS were widely publicized, the BRAIN DEAD CHAIR OF MASS GOP proclaimed: WE SUPPORT LAW ENFORCEMENT! So they embrace ICE GESTAPO EXECUTING innocent people? We all know about the ICE GESTAPO assaults, injuries, lies, killings, lawless actions, kidnapping AMERICAN CITIZENS, UNCONSTITUTIONAL ACTIONS like breaking down doors of homes without WARRANTS.... REPUBLICANS and MASS GOP are SILENT! They can't be counted on to PROTECT AMERICAN CITIZENS, never mind stop the inhumane abuse of 'immigrants.' There's something seriously wrong with the REPUBLICAN PARTY that is on SELF-DESTRUCT MODE! The REPUBLICAN PARTY used to stand for SOMETHING! It's time to prepare the EULOGY! Why don't GOP congress members and Mike "weenie" Johnson just resign now? They vacay more than they work for the people of America. Lazy bums are going to find out what "YOU'RE FIRED!!!", is all about. No more easy money for you when your Golden Pedo Man is gone! The GOP have proven again and again that no matter how much they disagree with Trump, they are terrified he will target them if they aren't just mindless automatons. |
