The Trump Regime Was Betting On Exhaustion. It Lost.
I don’t know how to say this without sounding sentimental, so I’ll just say it: thank you. Our journalism and organizing thrives thanks to you. If someone you know needs a win today, gift them a subscription to The Dworkin Report. Or upgrade to Founding Member, and be the reason we can chase the stories nobody else will. The Trump Regime Was Betting On Exhaustion. It Lost.A prosecutor got the evidence. Seven thousand strangers killed a plan to dump wastewater into their lakes and rivers. Trump’s own lawsuit turned on him. Thanks for joining me today—pull up a chair, and let’s dive in. Every win in this edition came from someone who refused to go away and said so, out loud, until somebody in power had to listen. That’s the whole reason this newsletter—and this unstoppable community—exists. Most outlets hand you fragments. We give you the full picture—then organize pressure campaigns that have contacted Congress hundreds of thousands of times, while running one of the largest anti-Trump social media operations anywhere. Every single day for 741 days straight. And nobody funds it but readers like you. Paid subscribers also get something nobody else does: my read on the races that’ll actually decide this fall, before the pundits catch up. Tomorrow, a Senate race everyone’s got wrong. Monday, the House. THE EVIDENCE THE REGIME COULDN’T BURYMary Moriarty is the Minnesota prosecutor deciding whether federal agents should face charges for killing Renee Good and Alex Pretti. For six months, the federal government refused to hand over the evidence—no body camera footage, no officers’ statements, not even the car Good was shot in. This month, it finally gave up. Renee was shot dead in her own car by ICE agent Jonathan Ross. Alex was a Minneapolis nurse, killed while watching federal agents work. Moriarty said months ago there was no mystery about how either of them died. What she lacked was the proof the regime was sitting on, and now she has it. The plan was to stall until a grieving city got tired, the cameras left, and people stopped asking questions. But Minnesota puts no time limit on filing charges for a killing—so running out the clock was never going to work. The regime folded first. TRUMP SUED THE BBC. IT’S BACKFIRING BADLY.Trump sued the BBC for ten billion dollars over an edit of his Jan 6 speech, claiming it wrecked his reputation and hurt his businesses. BBC pushed back—open up your books and prove it, they said. On Tuesday, Judge Enjoliqué Lett ordered Trump to turn over the financial records of the trust that holds his business empire—the one his son Don Jr. runs. Hundreds of companies, now fair game. His lawyers tried to retreat, telling the court Trump’s position had “evolved” and he’s only claiming hurt feelings now—the businesses conveniently carved out of his argument. Lett said she can’t rewrite his own lawsuit for him. So the discovery grinds on, and the BBC wants him under oath next. Now he can appeal to a judge he appointed himself. Or he can drop the whole thing and let everyone guess why. THE SURVIVORS BLANCHE COULDN’T SILENCETodd Blanche used to defend Trump in court. Now he’s running the Justice Department and wants the Senate to make it official. On Tuesday, Epstein survivors reminded two senators exactly who he is. Blanche only agreed to sit down with them after his confirmation was put at risk. It was a box-checking exercise, they wrote. What they got was an hour of deflection, interruption, and gaslighting. Blanche himself told CNN the justice they want isn’t something he can deliver. So Annie Farmer, Dani Bensky, Jess Michaels, Liz Stein, and dozens more wrote to Senators Thom Tillis and John Cornyn: vote him down. That’s exactly who they need to convince. Before the full Senate ever votes, a small committee votes first, and Tillis and Cornyn are both on it. One no from either of them, and Blanche is finished before he gets anywhere near a full chamber. A week after the hearings, the chairman still hasn’t called that vote. Blanche wanted a box checked. What he gave them was a reason to sink him. THEY WANTED THE WATER. OHIOANS SAID NO.Ohio’s EPA drafted a plan that admitted, on paper, it would make the state’s water dirtier. A single statewide permit would let data centers dump the wastewater from cooling their servers straight into Ohio’s rivers and lakes, no individual review required. Lowering water quality, the draft said, was “necessary to accommodate important social and economic development.” There was exactly one lake still open for it: Lake Erie, whose toxic algae has already once poisoned Toledo’s taps and shut off the city’s drinking water. Republican State Rep. David Thomas said the whole push traced back to Trump’s demand to loosen data center regulations. Then more than seven thousand people wrote in. On Tuesday, the agency shelved the plan and went back to reviewing each facility one at a time. Democratic state Sen. Kent Smith said: “Oftentimes, people can feel powerless in their government, but this is one of those instances where 7,000 voices matter.” NOBODY SAW THEM COMINGThe regime is counting on people getting tired. That’s the whole strategy—and the only thing standing between Trump and a Congress that can stop him. Winning the House is in reach. The Senate is in play. Every ruling, every retirement, every rigged map says the same thing: they’re weaker than they look, and we’re getting stronger. I watched him squirm and lie through his teeth while being interviewed for the job. The only true thing he said was that he "is donald trump's attorney' - but he quickly realized that he had spoken the truth and changed the statement to he "was donald trump's attorney". Funny how the mind works isn't it? Your sub conscience does not want to lie. His allegiance is to the repulsive t-RUMP who would not know the truth if it rose up and bit him in his fat ass. Todd Blanche should be disbarred and spend time in a tightly controlled prison along with donald trump who should be IMPEACHED for treason and corruption. I have written and called to my Senators in Florida. I am happy to do same for Cornyn and Tillis. Me too and Scott makes it easy write those letters! I never would have voted to accept any of Drumpf's unqualified nominees. But after being targeted by him for daring to disagree with something he said, these lawmakers should use the power that they still have to deny his current nominees as they are ALL just as unqualified as their predecessors. 1. Todd Blanche out! 2. ICE out! Thanks for reading and for pushing back. This edition is exactly what happens when people refuse to be quiet: judges do their jobs, prosecutors get the evidence, and bad policy gets stopped. If this mattered to you, hit the ❤️ and restack — that one tap puts the reporting in front of someone who needs it. Your questions: 1. They are both hopeful to return to politics after Trump is gone! I believe they will vote to approve Blanche. 2. I honestly hope that something happens to Trump that requires him to leave office. That lying b*stard doesn’t deserve any sympathy! Unfortunately, I agree that Blanche will be confirmed despite overwhelming evidence that he is wholly unqualified. Which only proves that the people voting to confirm him are as unqualified in their positions as he is. I certainly hope not. I've written postcards asking for his not being given the AG job. I will get on the phone this afternoon and leave messages with Republican Senators. Some are tricky to get through...but most allow comments to be recorded. Sometimes I speak to an aide which I hope gets another check on the chart of public opinion for their offices. It makes me feel better to at least offer my opinion. I've sent MANY letters outlining why he shouldn't be confirmed. But the past has shown us that no matter how much they posture, they ALWAYS wind up confirming. We should all be calling Republican senators (whether it's your state or not). You are calling for family, friends, and fellow Americans who are their constituents. Phone number: (202) 224-3121 How it works: An operator will answer and connect you directly to the Senate office. List of Senators https://www.senate.gov/senators/Class_III.htm Yes, I would like something to happen that removes him from office before the mid terms. The thing I want most before November is something I can't say out loud. I ask Alexa every morning if he's dead yet. I'll get it trending yet! I look forward to the day she responds, YES! LOL! Now that is a strategy I hadn't thought of! :-) I'm with you. Every morning as I open the Internet I have the same wish, but soon. God willing!! I pray He saves our Country as soon as possible, before the damage this evil man has done is permanent. I believe it will take a decade or more to recover from all the damage he is inflicting on us. The men and women of the GOP are to blame. This says it all: "The men and women of the GOP are to blame." Only REPUBLICANS voted to fund the ICE GESTAPO without additional controls that are injuring protesters and killing VICTIMS. This is what REPUBLICANS created...NOTE THIER SILENCE! In MASSACHUSETTS, the WEALTHY TRUMPERS running for GOVERNOR said in unison that they would wait for the "REPORT" (the one obstructed by DHS & ICE GESTAPO THUGS) .... THE HELL WITH ALL OF PUBLIC VIDEO available..... You can't defend the 2nd AMENDMENT and slither past the FIRST AMENDMENT: The First Amendment to the United States Constitution protects five fundamental freedoms: freedom of religion, speech, press, assembly, and the right to petition the government. It was adopted on December 15, 1791, as part of the Bill of Rights. ICE GESTAPO THUGS injure PEACEFUL PROTESTERS! MASS GOP CHAIR AMY CARNEVALE said "WE SUPPORT LAW ENFORCEMENT." How is this LAW ENFORCEMENT when ICE GESTAPO are killing innocent people? How is this LAW ENFORCEMENT when ICE GESTAPO injure PEACEFUL PROTESTERS? How is it "LAW ENFORCEMENT" when CHILDREN are in ICE GESTAPO DETENTION CENTERS? How is it "LAW ENFORCEMENT" when FOR PROFIT companies serve MOLDY FOOD, some with worms, some with LIVE WORMS, provide CONTAMINATED WATER, OVERFLOWING TOILETS, LACK OF ANY HEALTH CARE...and CHILDREN? DEMENTIA DON proclaimed a 2,000 DAILY QUOTA.... Who do you think is gonna CLEAN TOILETS? PICK CROPS? Fill nursing home care? Clean the BED PANS?
