The climate impacts are dire: transporting and burning this fracked gas would release an estimated 56 million metric tons of CO₂ annually—equivalent to 15 coal plants—worsening the very droughts and extreme heat already driving water scarcity. And the data center buildout threatens to worsen our affordability crisis, propping up Big Tech while everyday working people foot higher water and electricity bills. Communities across Texas, New Mexico, and Arizona would be forced to live with the constant threat of leaks, explosions, and methane exposure, and other pollution that would make them sick. We have just two more days to make our voices heard. Comments are due August 5th. Take action now and tell (FERC) to stand up for the people and protect the environment. We will not stand by and sacrifice our homes, sacred land, and access to water so gas and Big Tech companies can rake in billions more dollars in profits at our expense. Thank you for taking action today! In solidarity, Jennifer Krill Executive Director |
