Last year, federal agents showed up to audit Winn Correction Center, the for-profit ICE detention center here in Northern Louisiana. One of the largest facilities like it in the country. We just learned what they found and it is sickening: A detainee stabbed by guards with a pen. Another placed in a violent chokehold. Mechanical restraints and a suicide smock. Unsanitary conditions. Two detainees died at the facility within two months.  Let’s be clear: These are human rights violations and MAGA doesn’t care. My name is Conrad Cable, I’m the Democrat running against Speaker Mike Johnson. Winn Correction Center is in our district, and Mike Johnson has stood by as a private company tortures our neighbors.
