Top MAGA rep flips America the bird in July 4 brag

House Republican brags about July 4th feast and tells struggling Americans that "maybe" they "don’t work as hard" as him
What's that? Can't afford a decadent lobster tail and ribeye feast this Fourth of July, what with the runaway costs of basically everything, including lobster tail and ribeye? Well, that's obviously because you haven't worked as hard as Texas Republican Troy Nehls, who had incredibly curious thoughts when asked by Meidas Touch's Pablo Manríquez, "How do House Republicans make the case that you’re fighting for affordability when you go back to your districts?"
"Affordability? What are you talking about?" Nehls then shared his weekend plans: "I'm gonna get me a couple of big lobster tails, I'm gonna get me some nice ribeyes, I'm gonna sit in my backyard with my family, my neighbors, and we're going to be enjoying the Fourth, celebrating 250 years, the birthday. We're gonna be celebrating the greatest president of my lifetime, Donald J. Trump..."
When Drop Site News' Julian Andreone asked Nehls if he thought the "60% of Americans who are living paycheck to paycheck" could also afford lobster tails and ribeyes, the MAGA Republican shot back, "Maybe not. Maybe the 60% of Americans don't work as hard as I do either." Any questions?

VIDEO OF THE DAY: Supreme Court retirement news surges into the spotlight
Yesterday morning NPR issued — then immediately retracted — a bombshell report that Justice Samuel Alito was retiring from the Supreme Court he has spent that past 20 years delegitimizing with one disastrous, right-wing opinion after another. While NPR's Nina Totenberg promptly took responsibility for the erroneous report, calling it a "rookie mistake," the story nonetheless sent shockwaves throughout the beltway and beyond, as speculation of an impending SCOTUS retirement was already running high.
We'll chalk this one up to an unfortunate case of premature evacuation. It can happen to anyone, folks.

BREAKING: Alaska Senate race shifted from "Lean Republican" to "Tossup!"
Mary Peltola for Alaska: Former Congresswoman Mary Peltola sent shockwaves through American politics when she won the only congressional seat in deep-red Alaska in 2022. Now she’s running for the US Senate seat held by MAGA millionaire Dan Sullivan - and the race has just been shifted from "lean Republican" to "Toss-up!" A proven winner like Peltola with an Alaska First platform of “fish, family, and freedom” is just the candidate we need to flip this critical seat and retake the Senate. Will you chip in to help push her over the finish line?

Mike Johnson accidentally tanks Defense budget bill over SAVE Act
Pipsqueaker of the House Mike Johnson keeps coming up with inventive new ways to tank Donald Trump's most favored pieces of legislation, this time anchoring the deeply unpopular election-steal scheme known as the "SAVE" Act to the wildly bloated $1.15 trillion National Defense Authorization Act. A procedural vote in the House failed handily by a 198–224 margin yesterday, as 14 Republicans joined Democrats to oppose the last-minute addition of the president's voter restriction bill to the proposed Pentagon budget.
SORRY TO ADD MY COMMENT - IS NAZI STEPHEN MILLER TAKING ANYTHING FOR HIS DELUSIONS? POOR NAZI JUST HALLUCINATES AND MAKE STUFF UP!

Stephen Miller makes appallingly racist comments about foreign pregnant women
Flagging White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller for being a vile racist is not unlike calling out the Sun for being hot, but all the same, the xenophobic bile he vomited into the public record yesterday is no less appalling.
Speaking to fellow gutter troll Jesse Watters on Fox News yesterday, Miller took issue with the Supreme Court's ruling upholding constitutionally protected birthright citizenship and said the Trump regime would be taking a hard look at whether or not pregnant women from other countries would be allowed to visit or enter the United States going forward.
Miller then insinuated that undocumented immigrants come to the United States for the express purpose of giving birth to babies who then collect and send welfare checks back home to "support a whole family in the third world" for the rest of their lives — a wild accusation that says orders of magnitude more about the cancerous malcontent than the countless people he gleefully disparages.
GOP Rep. Tom Kean returns to Congress after mysterious, four-month absence
Two-term Republican Rep. Tom Kean (NJ), who is running for reelection in November, finally returned to the Capitol yesterday after a previously unexplained, four-month-long absence, citing a depression diagnosis. Speaking on the House floor, Kean said he owed his constituents, colleagues, and the American people an explanation, then took no questions from the press or bothered to explain why he chose to hide the reason for his absence until yesterday.
Interestingly, Kean's diagnosis did not stop him from actively trading stocks or collecting his taxpayer-funded salary during his mysterious leave, a curiosity New Jersey Democrats were quick to point out.

Reflecting pool coating supplier’s statement on repairs conflicts with Trump’s sabotage claim
Conspicuously absent in Rhino Linings' statement on repairs to the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool? Any mention of vandals, sabotage, or box cutters. The company did flag a "finish-coat separation" issue, however. Weird!
Months after he sent a critical email to ICE, agents tracked New York man to his home and a hotel
Donald Trump’s ICE goon squad spent tens of thousands of taxpayer dollars to sic federal agents on a New York father of two, tracking him across two continents — from his Rochester doorstep to a Finnish theme park where he was vacationing with his seven-year-old daughter to an airport hotel he hadn't even told his wife about — all because he sent a strongly worded email six months ago calling the ICE director a bad person, which, for the record, was and is definitely true. Nope, nothing fascistic about it.
Doom and doomer
And in other news
Hope...
