The Regime Came For Your Vote and Blew It: A Judge Killed Trump’s Loyalty Test, and Illinois Shut Down His Surveil… NOTE: REPUBLICANS IGNORED FARMERS!

The regime wants you exhausted—wants you convinced that the powerful always win and people like you never get a say. But this nation was born refusing to kneel to a king, and we will be damned before we bow to someone aching to become one.

ILLINOIS JUST SHUT THE REGIME OUT

Illinois Governor JB Pritzker

While the regime looks for new ways to make life harder for transgender Americans, Gov. JB Pritzker spent Sunday doing the opposite—signing three laws that put Illinois firmly on their side, hours before he marched in the Chicago Pride Parade.

One keeps testosterone out of the state’s prescription records, so no other state can dig through them to punish someone for legal care. Another makes sure your ID reflects who you are, protected no matter who’s in power. The third makes insurance cover six months of hormone therapy at once, ending the wait for a refill.

“The work will continue until all Illinoisans are safe, healthy, and free to express their truest selves,” Pritzker said—and then he backed it with three signatures.

The regime wants transgender people afraid and alone. Illinois just told them the whole state has their back.

TRUMP GUTTED THE FARMS. HOCHUL FOUGHT BACK.

New York Governor Kathy Hochul

When Trump’s tariffs came for New York’s farmers, Gov. Kathy Hochul didn’t send a strongly worded letter. She sent money.

The trade war hammered the people who grow our food—dairy farmers, ranchers, families watching the price of feed, grain, and fertilizer climb with no end in sight. The regime broke it. Then, last week, it crawled to Congress begging for $11 billion more in farmer bailouts to patch a hole it punched itself.

Hochul didn’t wait on Washington. On Monday she opened a $30 million relief fund—direct checks up to $25,000 straight into farmers’ hands. “The tariffs imposed by the Trump administration are reckless and damaging,” she said—and then actually did something about it.

A JUDGE KILLED A TRUMP LOYALTY TEST

US District Judge Myong Joun

The regime tried to hide a political hit list inside a program that erases debt for people who spend their careers helping others. On Tuesday, a federal judge tore it out.

Public Service Loan Forgiveness wipes the student loans of people who give ten years to public work—teachers, nurses, public defenders, more than a million so far. Trump’s rule set the trap in plain sight: strip forgiveness from anyone whose employer the regime labeled, in the rule’s own language, a “substantial illegal purpose.”

Translated: help immigrants, teach diversity, or support gender-affirming care, and the regime could brand your job illegal and take back what you earned.

US District Judge Myong Joun blocked it cold, ruling it violates the First Amendment and “has already chilled protected speech.” It’s the same move the regime runs everywhere—punish the people who help the vulnerable, and call it the law.

A million people did the work, earned the relief, and kept it. The regime lost.

THE REGIME’S VOTER ATTACK JUST ATE ITSELF

Speaker Mike Johnson

The regime spent the week trying to make it harder for you to vote—and got so greedy it tripped over its own feet.

Trump’s SAVE Act would force Americans to dig up citizenship papers just to register. Speaker Mike Johnson even tried to smuggle it into the must-pass defense bill. But more than a dozen of his own hard-liners—Anna Paulina Luna, Chip Roy, Lauren Boebert and others—blew it up, 198 to 224.

Not out of conscience. They wanted the voter suppression written more harshly, and threw a fit when Johnson’s version wasn’t cruel enough. Trump told them to quit grandstanding. They ignored him.

So it collapsed. Johnson canceled the rest of the week’s schedule and sent everyone home with nothing done. The bill isn’t dead—it’s stalled, and they’ll be back for your vote. But for now, the ugliest election law in a generation is going nowhere. Killed by their own greed.

The regime holds total control of Washington and is too consumed by cruelty to use it. The pressure was already on them, and they did the rest to themselves—a crack we pry wider with every edition of The Dworkin Report.

We dig up what the regime buries, organizing readers to contact Congress 780,000 times since November 2024, and pushing the truth past the regime’s spin to millions more on social media every day—pressure no elected official can duck.

None of this happens without you. Readers fund us and no one else—which is why we can go straight at the regime without blinking. Become a paid subscriber and keep the wins coming:

COMMENTS:

Well Scott, here the fuck we are.

https://thistleandmoss.com/p/what-survives-the-morning-the-lifeline-they-cut-and-the-cord-we-never-let-go

A reporter caught Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez outside the Capitol this week with a gift-wrapped question: JD Vance had just declared, on a podcast, that he figures she'll be the Democrats' 2028 frontrunner. Her whole face did the work before her mouth did.

"I mean, um…" she started, already laughing. Then, four words: "I hope he is."

That is good enough for me. Fuck you Vance.

Okay, call me a hard hearted Hanna, but I think the farmers should suffer a bit longer. Here in Minnesota most of them voted for trump and they should understand the corruption, fraud, and lies they voted for and how it hurt their livelihood. However, as a Democratic governor - as we have here - I guess it's a great way to get some votes. But have they learned their lesson. Still, they just want a handout no matter who gives it to them and they will just continue their republican ways.

What stood out to me is how many different people pushed back this week and actually won. A judge. A state. Even some Republicans who decided enough was enough on that voter bill.

It’s not one big dramatic moment. It’s a lot of people in different places refusing to roll over. That adds up.

Stephen- you are right here in Wisconsin many farming families voted for Trump. They have no reality check I have a friend in my book club whose family runs a beef farm between Madison and St.Paul. You know the area beautiful farm land and perfect for raising specific kinds of cattle. They voted for the 🍊 3 times- ugh- because quote "they were angry" Angry about what they are some of most successful farmers I have ever met. They hire immigrants, they have grandchildren of color...total disconnect. On flip side over the River my Moms family ran a small dairy farm in Minnesota, they survived the depression are Irish Catholic never ever did they vote for a Republican.(They never were rich but Loved ppl) Thanks Stephen- sorry for the rant.

Love hearing your story. I have a really hard time understanding farmers' support for the crazed regime & their subsequent dismay when they learn they were screwed,

Don't be sorry...like I tell my husband, it's healthy to rant every now and then. It prevents an explosion!

it's also ENERGY and energy can be channeled into action and effectiveness! So, go ahead and RANT 'til your heart's content!

The farmers, and others, in rural Minnesota have voted Republican for years. The trump campaigns were ugly and mean-spirited. The rural folks are angry and frustrated, and there's a big divide between rural Rs and urban Ds. I do not have the answer, but I hope somebody comes up with something solid to bring us together again. It's painful to see those horrid, hate-filled banners on farmers' lands. DJT fuels the hatred, leverages hate to his advantage, then leaves 'em hanging. AND they keep falling for it!

Yes. Perplexed and sad is how I feel

I live in Minneapolis but have a small farmstead just outside of Willmar and I have to say I see a LOT fewer trump signs on Hwy 12. With that said, there are still several "Failed Waltz" signs out there. Some people just never learn, I guess.

That is exactly what I don't get. It seems the R's just keep voting for the same bs and then they cry about it. They put this regime in office AGAIN! And IQ47 2.0 is far worse than 1.0! What was it Einstein said "Doing the same thing over and over again, expecting a different outcome, is the definition of insanity" seems to apply here.

I agree but I don’t know about NY farmers? I think she is more concerned with holding down food costs.

Stephen, although I understand that the many people who voted for what is happening or he has pushed to have happen, that good people are trying to reverse and counter, are farmers who need to understand that the problems they face are because of their votes, yet I believe two things in addition to being thankful for the relief coming from actions of good people in our government. Both important facts are that not every farmer voted for the person trying to wreck the farmers’ lives, and that without our farmers surviving and agriculture thriving, everyone will suffer. I am thankful for the safety reported by Scott today.

I like to eat too. Farmers are critical to our wellbeing and in Minnesota - I know Wisconsin and Washington state (thank you for the Cosmos apples) not every farmer voted for trump. But if you look at the statistics, 85% of them did. So, I have a son. When he was a teen and early twenties he became addicted to alcohol. My husband and I were at the end of our rope. We resorted to "tough love" and insisted if he did not get treatment and finish college we would cut him out of our will. It took only one month in a treatment center, he finished college, has several graduate degrees and a CPA and is now a CFO for a large pain clinic in the Twin Cities. It was painful to make him see what he was doing was only hurting himself. That's how I feel about the farmers. Unless they are forced to confront the consequences of their actions, they will never change. While I do not want their families to suffer and lord knows we need the family farmers, not corporate farms, they need to see the reality of their actions. That's all I'm saying.

Thanks Stephen for speaking up about the curious way in which many, if not most farmers cling to the GOP. We have the same thing going on here in Washington state. And DJT declares us a blue state and paints our farmers with the same brush when it comes to withholding money for everything from fighting wild fires, to schools, health care, clinics, transportation, etc. while also stripping many farms from the immigrant workers who have been tending those farms and orchards for decades! I imagine many farm owners truly work from sunup to sundown and may not live online or on their cellphones to be updated with what is really going on. Still, they do talk to one another and some of them are truly feeling the pinch of DJT tariffs and Iran War decisions. Maybe what Gov. Hochul is doing in NY will stir some farmers awake across the country!!! I hope so!!! :-)

Isn't it astounding that MAGA MAGGOTS believe their own propaganda - NO FACTS!

And refuse to consider WHY tRump's SAVE ACT is problematic?

The PARTY that killed itself with IGNORANCE even as a majority of American voters have figured it out! MAGA MAGGOTS hide from their constituents because they're afraid of FACTS - like DENYING HEALTH CARE to MILLIONS DENYING FOOD TO HUNGRY KIDS!

Meanwhile, more than 3.5 million people have lost food assistance, including 770,000 children, due at least in part to the law’s SNAP cuts. According to a Center on Budget and Policy Priorities analysis of SNAP caseload data, enrollment in the crucial food aid program plummeted by 4 million between the OBBBA’s enactment and March 2026. The result has been what the New York Federal Reserve Bank in late May called a “remarkable increase in food insecurity, particularly among lower-educated and lower-income households and households with young children.”

Our victories mean that someone in the city can live a better tomorrow because you fought for them today.

Here's what that looks like:

Tenants who were exploited by bad landlords have won over $34 million.

Two-year-olds across the city now have access to free universal child care through 2-K.

Over 165,000 potholes filled.

This is the kind of material, life-changing progress that our communities are building together. Tenants, workers, families and young people across our city are coming together to prove that when you organize you can deliver real change.
