This is a make or break moment for independent media
We're asking for independent media supporters to show up in a big way this week. Our friend, Brian Tyler Cohen, one of the pioneers of progressive media on YouTube, is taking one final go at the New York Times best seller list for his new book, The Day After.
But it's tough to get the word out. Brian is not backed by a cable network's promotional budget. He doesn't have a corporate media conglomerate booking him on a dozen morning shows or buying full-page ads to put him in front of millions of people automatically. He doesn't have the kind of institutional machine that a lot of legacy authors in this space get to lean on. What he has is the independent media space, one video, one post, one honest conversation at a time.
So we're asking for a bit of help for one of our own. If you'd like to show some support for our longtime ally, please grab a copy of Brian's new book. And together, let's send a message to legacy media that while we might not be back by an institutional behemoth, independent media matters now more than ever.
