Five more wins inside.Good morning, and happy Saturday. Pour your coffee, juice, or whatever you’re drinking, and sit down with me for a few minutes. I have eight wins to share—wins Trump would rather stay buried. If you hit the like button and restack this edition it helps put a spotlight on these stories, and breaks them through the MAGA propaganda machine. Thanks for all you do. There is nobody upstairs telling us which ruling to skip or whose name is too inconvenient to print. Help keep us independent by joining as a paid subscriber right now: Let’s jump in. A Judge Stopped Him From Touching YourBallotIn March, Trump signed an order directing the Postal Service to control how states send mail ballots. Under that rule, no state could mail ballots unless the Postal Service approved its envelopes and every mail voter was uploaded into a federal portal—a portal that wasn't even built yet. Yesterday, Judge Indira Talwani blocked it through the November election and refused to pause her own order so they could appeal. Five Neighbors Got Their Town Its VoteFive people in Trenton, Ohio, gathered enough signatures to get a vote on banning new data centers in the city. The law said they only needed 128, but the city council changed the number to 820 and threw the petition out. The Ohio Supreme Court unanimously overruled the council, said it disregarded the law, and ordered a special election so the town gets to decide for itself. A 92-Year-Old Judge Told Him No For The ThirdTimeTrump’s spent years trying to get his 34 felony convictions into federal court, where he says his “presidential immunity” would wipe them out. But 92-year-old Judge Alvin Hellerstein said no for the third time. Hellerstein wrote that Trump was looking for a second bite at the apple, and that hush money to hide an alleged affair was never an official act of the presidency. Trump is still a felon. Seven Students Stood Silent And Beat TheirUniversityFifteen students stood up at a Florida International University campus event in ICE OFF FIU shirts, said nothing, and walked out. The school brought disciplinary charges against seven of them and threatened to freeze their registration, financial aid, transcripts, and diplomas unless they recorded videos about their behavior. They sued, and Judge Jacqueline Becerra blocked all of it—nobody in one of those shirts did anything but sit, stand, and walk. A Conservative Group Spent Two Years And GotNothingA right-wing group in Virginia wanted Minnesota’s voter list. They sued Secretary of State Steve Simon for two years and four months trying to get the data. Just last week, the Eighth Circuit threw the case out. The DOJ also went after Minnesota’s voter list—a federal judge dismissed that suit too. Simon hasn’t handed over any data—none. The Regime Bet $44 Billion And LostIn an effort to force the state of California to ban transgender girls from school sports, the DOJ sued. The regime was using $44.3 billion in school money as leverage against the state. Judge Cynthia Valenzuela threw the case out with prejudice. She ruled the regime never told the state that the money came with strings attached, and wrote it’s too late to add them. The kids keep playing. Neighbors Stopped The First Data Center OnPublic LandEighty acres of federal land sit inside Boulder City, Nevada, and the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) handed them to a developer for the first data center ever approved on federal public land. Nobody in Boulder City was asked. A career BLM official told a reporter the approval was unprecedented, done to satisfy Trump’s order telling agencies to fast-track data centers on federal land. Judge David Gunter halted the whole thing. A Trump Judge Threw Out Musk’s LawsuitNew York makes big social media companies file their own hate speech rules with the state. Nobody can force them to delete anything—they just have to say what those rules are. Elon Musk’s company sued rather than answer, drew a judge Trump appointed, and lost to Attorney General Letitia James so badly it can’t try again. Trump would love it if we all thought that there was no way we could beat him, but these stories alone show that we can. Not to mention the fact we’ve beaten him time and time again. I remember being in DC on election night in 2018, when Democrats won back the House. Leading up to then, we knew momentum was on our side, but it never felt like this. This one feels bigger. There are more good people than bad in this country, in droves. And I truly believe if we keep sprinting through the finish line, we will balance the scales. Democrats will win back the House and Senate, and turn Trump into a lame duck. Then we can work on the one thing this regime truly deserves more than anything—accountability. It’s the only way we can make sure none of this ever happens again. None of that accountability happens on its own. It takes people willing to do the unglamorous reading, every day, long after a story stops trending. That’s what this community funds. That is the absolute truth, Ms. Jonington. Showing up, knowing your rights, and holding the line is how everyday people win. Local action sets the standard for the whole country!
Resistance is NOT FUTILE!💪💪💪💪💪💪
Not futile at all, Edie! Collective resistance moves mountains. Thank you for bringing that fierce energy!
Absolutely, Ms. Jonington!
Completely agree with you both, Peggy! Standing firm makes all the difference.
I’m grateful you’re here on a holiday weekend. Eight things they hoped you’d never see. Read one, restack one, send one to the person who told you this week that nothing moves.
Appreciate you being here and keeping the focus on real progress. Sharing these wins is how we show people that action leads to results. Talk to you in five minutes lol
Re stacked, shared and liked!
Thank you so much for restacking, sharing, and liking, Edie! Amplifying these stories keeps the momentum going strong.
I keep going at age 79 by walking at least once a day while wearing one of my protest shirts to let my neighbors know where I stand & can be counted on. I sign petitions & protests & share on social media sites to be heard. I have more energy than some younger women because of these activities.
Wonderful newsletter - it's always great to start any day with good news that bolsters our spirits and keeps us going. We are fighting data centers in Santa Clara County and sharing news on how citizens stopped these evil buildings in their tracks is so rewarding.
We had a watch party on election night 2018 and were so excited with the results. We felt our hard work paid off and we could finally stop the POS in his tracks. Fast forward to today...we WILL do this again on November 3rd. Stakes are too high to not vote this year.
Fighting and winning against data center sprawl in Santa Clara is huge, Rebel! That 2018 energy is exactly what we need to bring to the polls this November. Every vote counts!
I was working the polls on election night in 2018; we heard the trickling down news from the east coast during breaks and were excited but never let the info into the room when we returned, of course.
The judge has told the Regime not to build the arch but between the two weeks left, Don tha FOTUS is breaking ground. I wish some military group would bivouac there so the ground couldn't be broken to build the silly oversized (what's new?) arch like he bulldozed our White House "bunker." His plan needs to be stopped. How?
Thank you for your past service as a poll worker, Nancy! Court injunctions and constant public exposure are the legal levers that bring these reckless projects to a halt. We will keep tracking every move!
Thanks, Scott. It might be something we all might do at least once in our lives. Every voting period I help; it's a hoot, especially the stories: I turned a loud-mouthed individual into a pliable voter; he was wearing a MAGA hat and teeshirt and came to the polling room in 2016 where I was working. Easy peasy, calm, controlled, and forceful--he did as I directed him to do in a low voice: went into the bathroom, came out with his tee turned inside out, gave me his hat "for safe keeping," and sheepishly took his paperwork to vote. Being a former teacher of testosterone-wild kids really came in handy that moment.
Yes Nancy,
I visualized a group of serious ,Constitutional believers from the FBI-CIA, etc. to stand up for “US the American citizens who believe in
Having career professionals who take their oaths to the Constitution seriously is essential, Jean. The rule of law must always prevail.
They do need to be more visible and more vocal so the regular non-stationed people can support them too. I wish some group would bivouac near the Arlington National Cemetery before Don tha FOTUS has his group begin digging up the area for his insipid arch before the cease and desist court ruling takes place in two weeks. What criminality abounds! What group might arrest the construction company and detain it from doing the digging until the ruling begins? C'mon! ICE does it daily. There's got to be some group to do that and legally, right?
Every one of these news items made me happy. Thank you, Scott, I wouldn't have known about them otherwise. But when I came to the end of this post -- ACCOUNTABILITY is the word that really gave me hope. This regime's brazen disregard for the law, for the Constitution, for common decency shouldn't just be swept under the carpet.
Accountability is the cornerstone of everything we are fighting for, Jessica. None of this gets swept under the rug. Thank you for staying informed and engaged!
Yes!!! Let’s do this
We definitely can win both the House and the Senate if only everyone gets out and vote. People sometimes get so comfortable or think that their vote doesn’t matter because it’s just one, but every vote counts. I am excited and nervous for the midterms. Let’s do this, get out and vote!!!
Exactly right, Rose! Excitement and nervous energy make great fuel for knocking on doors, making calls, and voting. Let's make every single vote count!
Exactly
I work in a conservative school district in NM. When trump won in 2016 some of the kids seemed happy about it. I was, of course, devastated.
Yesterday I was meeting with two kids and they both talked about how their parents hate trump. Tide's a turning, folks! I see daylight!!
That on-the-ground story from New Mexico is huge, Jennifer! Seeing everyday parents turn away from the extremism proves that daylight is breaking through. Thank you for sharing!
Light a candle in the darkness ✨️
Beautifully said, Edie. Every single action lights the way forward!
Thank you Scott for the good news you have been giving us. We have lived in our house 45 years now and we are invited to a party on Saturday and on Sunday! It is nice for a couple of older people to be of thought by our neighbors! Happy Labor Day !!
That’s fun! Enjoy!
That is so wonderful to hear, Georgia! Good neighbors make a community strong. Have a fantastic time celebrating this Labor Day weekend!
When a NEW Working real government is in place to replace this Massive Rampant Corrupt one - one of the first orders of business should be to get RID of Trump's "immunity" (and get rid of the Corrupt Roberts 6 who are Enablers of that "immunity") and then nail him and all his family to the wall for their Crimes Against America!!!
Restoring true equal justice where no president is above the law is essential, Murray. Demanding accountability across all branches will be the work of the new Congress!
You said it! Thanks.
Glad to see you standing strong with Murray, Carole! United voices carry the most weight.
❤️🧡💛💚💙💜
💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙
Love seeing the blue wave of support, Edie! Thank you for standing strong with this community.
Sending all that wonderful warmth and solidarity right back to you, Steen!
Thank you once again for offering hope. Every post helps me realize that we have a chance of putting this time in our history in the rear view mirror. Every person needs to be held accountable for the pain that has been inflicted. Keep up thos important work, Scott!!
Thank you, Elaine. Putting this dark chapter in the rearview mirror starts with active resistance and ends with full accountability. Appreciate you standing firm!
I hope you’re right that there’s more of us than them. Sometimes I’m not so sure.
Oh, there definitely are more of us. What they lack in people they make up for in cash. Turnout is key!!
It is totally normal to feel that doubt sometimes, Eve, but remember that the majority of this country stands for decency, fairness, and democracy. When we turn out, we win!
Oh, there definitely are more of us. What they lack in people they make up for in cash. Turnout is key!
Again Scott - thanks for the upbeat news - shines a light on the wins !!
Thank you, MJoT! Shining a spotlight on the real wins gives us all the fuel to keep pushing forward.
Great news Scott! Accountability can’t happen soon enough!! Have a nice long weekend!
Thank you so much, Tess! Accountability is coming. Wishing you a restful and joyful holiday weekend as well!
Thank you for this uplifting news! I love hearing about the ways we - the people - are winning and making progress! :)
It is an honor to share these stories, Judi! People power in action is the most uplifting story in America right now.
Euphoric!
Love that feeling, Cathy! Let's ride this wave of positive momentum all the way to the ballot box!
Love that feeling, Cathy! Let's ride this wave of positive momentum all the way to the ballot box!
YES!!!
When 5 people in Trenton, Ohio can gather enough votes to say "no" to a data center, it's impressive. When a 92 year old judge says "No, Donny, you will remain a felon" I'm more excited than ever we will win in just a few weeks. Thank you, Scott, for reporting all the wins today!
Both of those victories prove that age and group size don't limit your power, Jane! Five neighbors or a principled judge can change the course of history. Thank you for highlighting both!
The history of tRump's tax fraud defines him!
DAVID PECKER of the NATIONAL INQUIRER did similar, PAID A FINE and MOVED ON!
NOT DONNY who argued endlessly "I NEVER MET THE WOMAN!" when it had nothing to do with STORMY DANIELS, but rather TAX FRAUD which MICHAEL COHEN paid and was reimbursed that DONNY deducted as LEGAL FEES.
DONNY likely doesn't pay any attorney, isn't it astounding that so much time and energy was wasted on such a trivial matter?
Great news, all of it!
Great news indeed, Richard! Thank you for tuning in and standing with us!
Hope is a form of resistance! Thank you, Scott
"Hope is a form of resistance" is such a profound and true statement, Edie. Thank you for keeping that flame bright!
Thank you as always, Scott, for your daily dose of hope!

Thank you for sharing your daily haiku project and honoring Gloria Steinem's incredible legacy, Monica! Creativity and art are powerful forms of resistance.
❤️
The perfect beginning of the weekend with news of another week of The Resistance. Thanks for the summary, Scott...💙💙💙💙
Thank you so much, Jim! Starting the weekend celebrating the strength of the resistance is the best feeling. Appreciate your steady support!
SCOTT, You always preach FOCUS!
Driving in traffic yesterday, our local PBS/NPR station aired a program in ON THE MEDIA (not yet posted) in which they discussed specifically JON OSSOFF's single comment about NATALIE HARP in which he only said her name.
The ORANGE TURD and MAGA MAGGOTS immediately filled the air with nonsense and wild accusations in order to distract from reality.
JUST DISTRACTION FROM THE ORANGE TURD'S FAILURES!
America is a nation of optimists and creating COMMUNITY!
The ORANGE TURD offers HATE, FEAR and ANGER!
That doesn't feed your kids, pay for your medications, provide HEALTHCARE when you need it.
