OPEN SECRETS reported that DARK MONEY that conceals DONORS has flooded
MAINE....STICK TO ISSUES.....NOT ATTACK ADS or DISINFORMATION!
$50 billion. That’s how much Trump’s illegal, unnecessary war with Iran has cost us in less than three months. Think about all the things we could do with $50 billion dollars: affordable healthcare? Lower prescription drug prices? Safe and affordable housing? What about childcare you can actually afford? I’ve got a plan for free universal childcare for Maine’s working families (you can read more about it here) — and $50 billion is enough to fund that plan for the next 142 years. Look, a lot of people in Maine right now are struggling to get by, and many working parents are paying more for childcare than rent. That’s insane. And on top of that, the workers we put our trust in to care for children every single day aren’t paid nearly enough to care for their own families. Our politicians — of both parties — love to tell working families that our government “doesn’t have the money,” or that getting universal childcare legislation passed is “impossible.” I call bullsh*t. This administration's spending $50 billion of our taxpayer dollars to wage a war of choice in the Middle East, and nobody in the GOP — the alleged “America first” party, the party of so-called fiscal responsibility — blinks an eye. That tells us it was never about not having the money. The money was always there. It’s about political will, and having the guts to actually do something about our broken systems. I’m running to finally get things done, and we’re powered entirely by grassroots donations. Will you chip in a few dollars today to my campaign so I can keep fighting for Maine families? Election Day is just 24 days away, so the time to act is now. |

You're getting this email because we need your help. Troy Jackson is running for governor to fight like hell for the people who make Maine run, but he needs your support if he's going to win. Troy didn't come from money, or a political dynasty — so he's relying on all of us to build this movement together. Will you chip in a few bucks to power his campaign right now? If you can donate anything, even just five bucks, it could make a big difference. If you can't donate right now, we understand — we hope you'll stick around and read these emails either way, because Troy's got some things to say. |
