The Treasury has announced plans to place President Trump’s signature on future U.S. paper currency. Our money belongs to the public. It should not be used as a political branding tool for any sitting president.

U.S. currency should reflect the nation and the democratic institutions we share, not the personal image of one leader. The Treasury should protect the integrity of public symbols and serve the people with neutrality. Public institutions should honor the nation, not flatter one man’s ego.
