A nonprofit buys up unpaid medical bills for pennies on the dollar, then wipes them out. Up to $91 million, gone. One in twenty Hawaiians carries this kind of debt—it tanks their credit, blocks them from renting an apartment, and follows them for years. Now, for thousands of families, that burden is finally lifting. He signed two more health laws the same day—one helping cancer patients protect their chance to have kids later, one covering screenings the uninsured could never afford. I am so happy the prison - er, detention center - is back to being in the hands of its rightful owners, the wildlife. I'm kind of surprised the workers bolted that old airport sign back up! But I suppose the gators can look at it now and sigh in relief - humans invaded for too long and good riddance to that cruel, polluting, pointless killing jar the humans built to “contain” other humans.

Agree. Very suspicious that they've just disappeared without a word about where they went. I just looked it up and it said they were sent to other concentration camps throughout the country or deported. Given how many were being taken out of ambulances in that place, I fear more died/were killed than actually deported or transferred. Will we ever know?

Thank you, Dr Green. I'm not the governor of Florida. I just live, and practice, in the Miami area. If I need a patient to have blood tests done, there's nothing I can do about the cost. But part of my job is keeping them out of the hospital. I do not take any insurance, because medical insurance is an important part of the American medical industry problem, but I charge way less than does anyone else. And if a patient can't afford my preferred fee, I lower it. The least I charge, for people with very little or no resources, is nothing.
I'm sure you live in Hawai'i because you like it, but please consider coming to another, larger state, and working your magic there, too. You'll get a red carpet, at least from me, in Florida.
