🌲🥾 Save the Roadless Rule

Friend,
Republicans are annihilating yet another major rule that protects our priceless public lands to turn a profit.
The “Roadless Rule” has been in place for nearly two decades and restricts construction & logging on about 60 million acres of national forest throughout the country.
The diverse lands it covers is home to habitats that keep endangered species alive, beloved parks and outdoor recreation destinations, untouched old growth trees and flora, major clean water resources, and much more — but Donald Trump wants to tear it to shreds to harvest the timber.

Repealing the rule will give Trump and his cronies the ability send the bulldozers in right now — but when the trees have all been sawed down and the logs are dragged from the decimated land, the consequences will last much longer than their profits:
- Almost 60 million acres of protected forest will be damaged or destroyed entirely.
- Clean water sources for communities across the country will be threatened by erosion and pollution.
- Critical wildlife habitats will be fragmented, pushing endangered species closer to extinction.
- Old-growth forests that store massive amounts of carbon will be clear-cut, accelerating climate change.
- Tribal lands and cultural sites will be bulldozed without consultation or consent.
- Beloved places where Americans experience the beauty, freedom, and majesty of our country will be gone for good.
So this is dire, friend. If we lose the Roadless Rule and Republicans are allowed to do their worst, the topography of our country and our public lands will be changed forever.
We need your help to stop this before they begin the destruction. Please, sign the petition now: Demand Congress protect the Roadless Rule and keep America’s wild places safe.
Thanks for taking action,
