Great News That’s Terrible For Trump: He Lost Missouri, Kansas, and A Congressman
I got to spend this week reading court filings and investigating the regime instead of chasing an advertiser or answering to some billionaire. Thank you for that. If you want to add even more fuel to our reporting and our campaign to flip Congress, upgrade to a Founding Member. Or if there’s someone who ought to be reading this, you can gift a subscription to them. Great News That’s Terrible For Trump: He Lost Missouri, Kansas, and A CongressmanEight wins in seven days, starting with an eighty-to-twenty beating from his own votersGood morning. Grab your coffee or whatever you’re drinking and take a seat with me for a few minutes. I’ve got eight wins for you this week I’m proud to share. Before you jump in, hit the ❤️ like and restack buttons. The more likes this gets, the more people Substack puts it in front of. And when you restack it, the post drops into the feed of your followers—including folks who’ve never heard my name. Most of what I do is free for everyone, and I’ll always keep it that way. But this work costs money. We’re independent because no advertiser or billionaire would ever let us run the campaigns we do or investigate the stories we dig into. So if you haven’t yet, I hope you’ll join us as a paid subscriber today: Red State Voters Crushed Both GOPAmendmentsRepublicans in Missouri put two amendments on the ballot on Tuesday. One would gut the citizen initiative process for getting things onto the ballot. The other would phase out the state’s income tax and let lawmakers raise sales taxes on anything they want to cover it, without ever asking voters again. Missourians killed both of them by a landslide. Kansas Said No To A Court TakeoverKansas Republicans really want to have a different state Supreme Court. They’re mad about the one they have protecting abortion access and funding schools. They asked voters to start electing Supreme Court justices, and the voters rejected them on Tuesday. Your Voter File Is Still Out Of His HandsThe DOJ’s been suing states all year to get your voter file, and they want the whole thing, including your driver’s license and Social Security numbers. On Monday, Judge Philip Brimmer threw out the Colorado case for good. On Thursday, another judge did the same in DC. That’s 31 lawsuits and 21 dismissals and zero wins. Even the judges Trump appointed himself won’t give it to him. New Citizens Can Get Help Registering AgainThe League of Women Voters registered around 122,000 new voters in 2024 at naturalization ceremonies. Last August the Trump regime kicked them out. On Monday, Judge Adam Abelson blocked the ban saying it looks like discrimination. A Court Stopped His $20 BillionRaidEPA head Lee Zeldin tried to take back $20 billion that wasn’t his. It was money Congress appropriated to help people save money on their power bills. On Tuesday an appeals court stopped him, saying he probably broke the law. A Court Told Him To Stop BuildingTrump tore down the whole East Wing of the White House in three days last October so he could build himself a ballroom. He never asked Congress, and Congress is who actually controls that building. On Friday, an appeals court told him to stop building above ground. Two Staffers Ended A Congressman’s CareerTwo women who worked for GOP Rep. Chuck Edwards reported how he was treating them. On Monday, the House Ethics Committee said there was substantial reason to believe he broke the rules against sexual harassment. He announced at 3:32 in the morning on Wednesday that he isn’t running again. Not exactly a proud exit. New Mexico Is Suing For The Epstein FilesRachel Benavidez went to the New Mexico Capitol on Wednesday and told lawmakers again that Epstein abused her at Zorro Ranch. She first came forward seven years ago and still has no answers. A few hours later the state’s attorney general, Raúl Torrez—after asking 10 times and getting nothing—sued the Justice Department and Todd Blanche to force out the unredacted files. We investigate and report the stories that need a spotlight. In addition, we run the enormous pressure campaigns on Congress while organizing on social media making us impossible to ignore. Since November of 2024 alone we’ve organized countless calls and more than 804,000 letters to Congress—millions since 2016. But none of this works without you. We’re completely reader-funded. KANSAS REPUBLICANS thought it would be different? They sure know how to get VOTERS to the POLLS! Good work REPUBLICANS! Voters surely read about the women who have died because of the inability of doctors to abort failed pregnancies! “Kansas voters made it loud and clear in 2022: the right to abortion must be protected. Now the Kansas Supreme Court has decisively reaffirmed that the state constitution protects abortion as a fundamental right,” said Nancy Northup, Center president and CEO. “This is an immense victory for the health, safety, and dignity of people in Kansas and the entire Midwestern region, where millions have been cut off from abortion access.” Kansas was the first state to vote on abortion rights after the U.S. Supreme Court eliminated the federal constitutional right to abortion in June 2022. Weeks after the Supreme Court’s ruling, Kansans came out to defend their right to abortion by defeating a ballot initiative that would have removed the right from the state’s constitution. Since then, six additional states have held abortion-related ballot initiatives, with voters favoring abortion rights each time. https://reproductiverights.org/news/kansas-supreme-court-reaffirms-constitutional-right-abortion/ KANSAS VOTER TURNOUT (this site is promoting voting by INDEPENDENTS but posts some voter turnout statistics): https://independentvoterproject.org/voter-stats/ks LEE ZELDIN and the DIRTY ENERGY BOOBS.....promoting DIRTY ENERGY in corrupt deals? tRump BOOBS are shipping LNG (METHANE) OFFSHORE driving up US CONSUMER PRICES while polluting AMERICA..... ENERGY PRICES for American consumers would be lower with RENEWABLE ENERGY! Renewables Surge Despite Trump Cuts, With Solar as Top May Power Source in 2 States “Wind plus solar is on a tear right now,” said one expert. excerpt: Updated state-level data confirmed this week that solar generation eclipsed every other source of electricity in Utah for the first time in its history, with photovoltaic panels producing nearly 1 terawatt-hour in May. That’s enough to power roughly 90,000 homes for an entire year, according to the US Department of Energy. https://www.commondreams.org/news/renewables-surge-despite-trump?utm_source=Common+Dreams&utm_campaign=cd465e9764-Top+News+%7C+Thur.+6%2F11%2F26_COPY_01&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_-998917937b-600713157&mc_cid=cd465e9764&mc_eid=766c895bd8 ‘Relentless in Its War on Offshore Wind,’ Trump Admin Kills More Projects After RWE disclosed its new gas investments as part of the deal, one climate campaigner declared that “committing to reinvest over $1 billion in fossil fuels is a disastrous mistake.” https://www.commondreams.org/news/trump-offshore-wind-lease-buybacks?utm_source=Common+Dreams&utm_campaign=cd465e9764-Top+News+%7C+Thur.+6%2F11%2F26_COPY_01&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_-998917937b-600713157&mc_cid=cd465e9764&mc_eid=766c895bd8 |
Love all of these Letters Scott! I hate to ask, but now we also need one to tell Congress to demand that Trump leave the White House alone! No more building without OUR approval. After all this is OUR White House that he is only residing in temporarily. On that note maybe we should give him a Lease Terminated Notice! :-)
Seeing red state voters stand up for citizen initiatives and judicial independence gives me so much hope! It’s proof that when people actually get to vote on the issues rather than partisan noise, common sense wins out every single time.
Agreed,Ms Jonington! Amendment 3,severely cutting real estate taxes, will be on Florida’s ballot and there is much pushback….including from Florida Sheriffs (with some of the most extreme MAGAs),FOP and Fl Fire Chiefs.

I agree. He should also be billed and forced to pay for all the costs in the destruction of the East Wing as well as all he has had done illegally so far at the White House!
I bought a subscription to The Dworkin Report for my daughter and her partner. Since she has started reading it, her outlook on the way things are has brightened. She has told me how important it is to know of the wins we are racking up because since the orange man has taken over most of the media, she quit watching the news! I told her how important it is to know everything that orange menace has done, is doing and will try to do before the midterms. I told her to share The Dworkin Report with her friends and stress the importance of getting involved right now. This isn't the right vs left, Republican vs Democrat or any of that nonsense. This is about securing our country's Democracy for the generations coming up. We will win in November, and we can begin to start putting back every single thing this corrupt regime has destroyed. Keep fighting, America! Stay strong and stay safe! VOTE! VOTE! VOTE!
The only words I can say for this Peggy is thank you!
